Amidst the rumors of the impending return that has been swirling over the lore for a while, Mercedes Mone’s potential comeback is the one to make rounds the most. Ever since the former Sasha Banks’ walked out of the Stamford-based company in May last year due to a creative altercation and joined forces with her dream promotion, NJPW, fans’ have been highly hoping for a comeback.
There have been a lot of reports and data going back and forth on their hopes. Finally, the saga seems to have somewhat reached a conclusion as the recent update suggested that Mone isn’t returning to her old wrestling home anytime soon.

Fans recently felt Mone herself was teasing her return due to a cryptic social media post. Although the Christmas post is pretty simple apparently, some believe it to be a coy reference to WWE’s creative head Triple H.

The rumors ran even higher when the NJPW star shared it on her Instagram story. However, that Triple H reference in the background was giving fans false hope.
WWE insiders noted that the company has summed up all conversations with the former women’s tag team champion and there is little progress made in terms of her return. Rather according to the same source, Mone could end up somewhere else other than WWE following her NJPW contract termination.
