After leaving WWE while still being the promotion’s Women’s Tag Team Champion, Naomi underwent a long wait before making her in-ring return. The 35-year-old signed a deal with Impact Wrestling and made her debut as Trinity on April 28 amid much fanfare. Recently, the Anoa’i family member posted pictures on social media, showing her battle scars. Reacting to the post, fans, and former WWE champion Sasha Banks rallied behind the wrestler.

The post also involved one of Trinity’s Impact Wrestling colleagues, a 32-year-old wrestler.

Impact Wrestling’s recruit went toe-to-toe with KiLynn King during the promotion’s recent show. While the two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion managed to pick up the win against the 32-year-old, it came at a cost.

During the bout, the two wrestlers suffered a blackeye each. Following the match, the 35-year-old former WWE Diva tweeted a picture of herself and her opponent, revealing the injuries. She also urged the fans to watch the match. For the unversed, Impact Wrestling shows are taped and aired at a later date.

Twitter users were quick to respond to the post, led by Trinity’s best friend Mercedes Mone, who wrestled in WWE under the ring name Sasha Banks.

The NJPW star said she’s keeping an eye on the happenings.

Another fan echoed Mone’s sentiments.

This user showed their concern with a question.

While a fan said they can’t wait to watch.

A fan in attendance put forward their review for the match.

Meanwhile, Trinity has a new challenge ahead of her as minutes after the match she initiated a new feud with Impact’s ‘Quintessential Diva’. After the 35-year-old was told that Gisele Shaw was upset with one of her actions, Trinity challenged her for a match, which was accepted.

The two will lock horns at Impact’s Under Siege. The third edition of the wrestling extravaganza will take place at the Western Fair District Agriplex in Ontario, Canada, on May 26. A month later, she has a chance to be a real needle mover for her current promotion and stamp her authority on a WWE hotspot.

This comes at the right time for both Trinity and Impact Wrestling. For decades, Australia has been WWE’s backyard as no major promotion has traveled Down Under as much as Vince McMahon’s troops. However, the Stamford-based company hasn’t been there since 2019.

The situation now presents itself as an opportunity for Trinity, who left the WWE citing mistreatment. Later, she called it the lowest phase of her life. With Impact’s Australia tour, she can prove to be a needle mover by attracting spectators and breaking WWE’s monopoly in the country. If that happens, the wound from her old employer would certainly heal. However, the wound she suffered during her last match will take some days to heal for sure.
