Sami Zayn‘s run in Bloodline offered one of the most impressive and entertaining storylines in recent years. He turned into an insanely popular baby face from an underrated mid-card wrestler by aligning himself with The Bloodline last year. He was pretty much the focal point of every SmackDown episode back then.

But things have not gone smoothly for long. After 8 months of his contribution as an honorary Uce to the family, Reigns started to smell his disloyalty, which proved to be true when he turned on the Tribal Chief during Royal Rumble 2023.

The Royal Rumble PLE saw Zayn’s friend Kevin Owen receiving a massive defeat at the hands of the Tribal Chief. But the real drama started to unfold after the final bell rang. Amidst a post-match beatdown, Owens was left handcuffed to the ring ropes. Reigns tried to take advantage by hitting his opponent with a steel chair in the head but was stopped by Zayn.

Then he asked Zayn to perform the action on his behalf. But Zayn already made his choice. He instead turned on Reigns by hitting him with the chair from behind, leaving the crowd startled.

Later Zayn teamed up with his friend Owen against The Bloodline to win the tag team titles from The Usos at WrestleMania 39. Speaking of the most recent development, during last night’s SmackDown episode, Roman Reigns put himself in a match alongside Solo Sikoa to try and clinch the Undisputed Tag team champion titles from the Owens-Zayn duo at Night of Champions on May 27.

Hours before that old rivalry resurfaced, WWE shared two videos on their official Instagram account with the caption ‘These recent crowd pops were on another level’. The post comprises the video of that iconic Royal Rumble moment when Zayn hit his Tribal Chief with a chair and Cody Rhodes’ spectacular entrance.

Zayn reposted this as his story and wrote ‘All time great pops’. When Zayn struck Reigns with the chair, the crowd went wild. Here  Zayn subtly took a dig at Reigns by labeling it as an all-time great crowd reaction.

Now we need to see how WWE will sell this high-voltage match in Saudi Arabia on May 27.

Roman Reigns might face another betrayal at Night of Champions

The Tribal Chief has his focus on bringing the tag team titles back home. He, in fact, snubbed The Usos for this. After returning to SmackDown last night, Reigns expressed his utter disappointment in the Usos for failing to recapture the gold. After some initial verbal war with his cousins, Paul Heyman declared that he and Solo Sikoa will chase the titles at Night of Champions.

But speculation says getting the upper hand in Saudi Arabia won’t be easy for him as The Usos might get into the affairs and take their revenge, which might cost him the titles.

This is yet another fascinating offering from The Bloodline saga that continues to grow bigger and grab the attention of fans.
