Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are joining forces for the second time, the last being ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ in 2009. He is part of the upcoming comic book film titled Captain America: Brave New World.

New release date for Captain America: Brave New World

The release date of the fourth installment of the Captain America franchise is not the only change to the movie. News of Rollins being part of the Captain America franchise broke out in May when pics of him in costume on set got leaked on Twitter and Instagram. MCU Fans are also enthusiastically waiting to see Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson aka Falcon take on the role of Captain America for the first time on screen.

Seth Rollins’ role in Captain America: Brave New World

Rollins will be playing the role of a villain named Cobra from the Serpent Society. In comic books, he is born as Klaus Voorhees and killed a professor who was trying to find a cure for snake bites by using a cobra while trying to rob him of his life’s work. In order to look innocent of the crime, he made the cobra bite him as well. But that particular cobra was radioactive as it was being experimented on and just like in the case of Spiderman, Voorhees acquired Cobra-like superpowers.

WWE fans will now be eager to see Rollins in his new avatar but since the release date for his MCU debut has been pushed back, they may have to wait a little while longer.
