You’ve heard us talk endlessly about Rhea Ripley being one of the most dominant figures in the RAW women’s division. But, did you know her role in the heel faction, The Judgment Day? Yes, she has a vital role to play and something many eagle-eyed fans have noticed. Ahead of the season premiere of Monday Night RAW, Ripley opens up about her role in the group.

Demi Bennett, better known as Rhea Ripley, is the only female in The Judgment Day. Being recruited by WWE icon Edge to join the group, she does more than hold the Women’s World Championship title.

The Rated R Superstar Edge formed the Judgment Day following WrestleMania 38. The first member was Damian Priest, followed by Ripley, and finally, Finn Balor. However, things did not work out for Edge, whom the group betrayed before recruiting Dominik Mysterio.

Speaking with Sporting News Australia, Ripley talked about the group and her role in it. When asked about who the leader of the group is, she said, “I mean the Judgment Day, we don’t technically have a leader. None of us really lead; we just have specific jobs.” This hinted that no one took his place since Edge was removed forcefully from his role at the top.

She was asked about her role as the shot-caller. As mentioned earlier, many fans have noticed Ripley telling the boys what to do. This led to the speculation that she was the leader of the group. Ripley answered, “When it comes to my boys, I’m very good at making plans, and they all believe in my plans.” This explicitly states that every member of The Judgment Day listens to her due to their belief in her intellect.

Finally, she said, “.I’ve thought it all through I’m not running off emotions.” This showcased the cold personality that Ripley demonstrates outside and inside the ring. As a member of JD, she ensures what needs to get done gets done. Many fans and experts cite her as the glue that holds the team together. Nevertheless, the stable has a clear and obvious threat that is posed to their leash on RAW. They will look to count on The Eradicator’s prowess to overcome it.

The team has been trying to get it back since losing the Undisputed Tag Team titles at Fastlane 2023 to

Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. Once holding all the gold in the WWE, now Priest is left with the MITB briefcase. This led to some tension within the group during Ripley’s absence.

With Roman Reigns back in the driver’s seat, Judgment Day’s plans of being the top heel will have to wait. Despite showcasing a team-up in Reigns’ absence, it is left to see if The Tribal Chief will acknowledge them.
