Last Friday, we saw one of the best ways that WWE has said a partial goodbye to one of its legends. From the main event to the build-up all throughout the show, it felt like it was a big night because it was a monumental night for Edge and all his fans. Triple H and his crew did a fantastic job at displaying why Edge’s legacy is enshrined in WWE history.
But as reports about his future come creeping in, it looks like Hunter hasn’t done a perfect job. Due to an unsuccessful contract negotiation, we could potentially see Edge moving to the competitor’s company.

According to a report from PWTorch, we came to know that Edge gave the company a chance to retain his services. The Rated R Superstar put his demands on the table but WWE declined. Also, they added that Edge could be AEW-bound as Tony Khan would be able to meet his demands.
It is also important to note that the Hall of Famer had been approached by AEW before his return as well. So, these previous conversations could also influence his choice to leave WWE and join its rival company. Also, another big component of moving to AEW could be that his long-time friends and fellow wrestlers, Christian Cage and the Hardy Boyz are in AEW right now as well.

This fan thinks this is happening because Edge wants to enjoy his last hurrah.
As much as I don’t want him to go to AEW but can’t blame him, last few years of his career and he’s looking to make the most out of it, anyone at his place would’ve done the same.

This fan also thinks that Edge could move to AEW as his friends are over there.
He wants to retire with his friends is my guess.
Matt, Jeff and Christian… When you've put in the time… You can pretty much do what you want in this industry… Edge has earned the right to go out how he wants to…
Not like he had a choice before….— ScottyKnowsStuff (@ScottyKnowsStuf) August 23, 2023
That would be awesome and we could see The Brood reunited! Having both WWE and AEW succeeding at the same time is a definite W for wrestling fans.

The Hardyz are soon to retire. His brother Christian is in AEW. It has nothing to do with not being loyal to WWE, but it gives him the chance to end his career with those who started it alongside him. This isn't about AEW vs WWE. It's about the wrestlers deciding their fate.

These fan reactions go to show that fans will be excited either way to see Edge on their screen. Having such a celebrated career, there’s no question that fans would love to see the legend indulge in his fancies when it comes to the end of his career.
