The last episode of SmackDown from the iconic Madison Square Garden had several awe-inspiring moments. There was Roman Reigns’ trial at the Tribal Court set by his cousins, and WWE Icon Edge returned to hand Grayson Waller his main roster debut and first loss. While these were appreciated by fans, they complained about the omission of LA Knight from the TV program. Those who attended in person were able to see Knight in action. But the TV audience missed it as the 40-year-old was part of a dark segment.

Just days before, Kevin Nash had made a scathing remark about Knight and his likeness to Dwayne JohnsonWith Knight’s absence from airtime, it did give rise to speculations about whether Triple H was influenced by his old friend’s observations. While fans are free to believe as they wish, ‘Big Kev’ has come clean on his role in the omission.

Both Nash and Hunter rose to prominence in the WWE around the same time. While they are both WWE Hall of Fame inductees, the connection between the duo doesn’t end there. Nash and Triple H both had the same tag team partner, during different times, of course. While Diesel and Shawn Michaels formed Two Dudes with Attitudes, Michaels and Triple H were partners in the D-Generation X stable.

Naturally, they shared a great chemistry and continue to do so. But both Nash and Triple H are way past their prime and enjoy their roles as observer and creative head respectively. Nash runs a podcast called Kliq This, and Hunter is the Head of Creative in WWE.

The 64-year-old nWo legend is known for his no-holds-barred take on modern wrestling and has also been criticized for the same. After he called Knight “an absolute rip off of The Rock” on one of the episodes of his podcast, a fan wanted to know if he managed to discuss the same with the WWE official.

“We don’t talk business,” Nash replied. “When he and I talk, we don’t talk the business. You know, it’s not like Paul calls me up and say ‘Hey, I want to run this by you’,” the former WWE Intercontinental Champion added.

So, there you have it from the horse’s mouth. Triple H doesn’t discuss WWE business with Nash. Meanwhile, he also spoke on the subject that triggered the discussion in the first place.

Kevin Nash comes clean on LA Knight criticism

No, Kevin Nash is not going to apologize to LA Knight for his take on the star. So, if you’re a Knight fan who wanted an apology from Nash, it’s better to let it go.

Nash made it clear that he still thinks that Knight is a “blatant rip-off”. He pointed out, “there’s so many people who agree that LA is doing The Rock/Austin.”

“I mean, the guy’s been in the business for like 10 years — why didn’t he get over anywhere else? If you’re not over in three years, it’s probably just not gonna happen,” ‘Big Daddy Cool’ added.

Strangely enough, Knight’s rising popularity has baffled many. Even without any major push from Triple H and his team, fans seemed to have taken a liking to the 40-year-old star. This is odd, given he made his main roster debut in 2022.

While it’s not new for fans to cheer for 40-year-olds, as in the case of John Cena, Randy Orton, and Edge, one should also remember that their debuts came over two decades ago. Whatever the reason, Knight is thrilled to have them on his side.
