All around the wrestling landscape, there is only one name resonating everywhere: CM Punk. This isn’t because he put on a classic match or won a big title, it’s because of his firing and all the drama surrounding it. Even when AEW made wrestling history or John Cena returned to WWE, the news that’s getting all the headlines is about Punk’s firing.
To fuel the fire even more, there are many rumors about the drama behind the scenes that are completely false. As stated before, Punk’s firing was a big decision, and therefore Tony Khan took the help of the disciplinary committee to come to the decision. And the list of members of the committee seems to have leaked.

A parody account by the name of PWFlashLight, parodying the dependable PWTorch, announced the four people on the committee. For obvious reasons, this was a joke based on all the comments surrounding Punk’s firing. Including Matt Hardy and Christopher Daniels, when both have showcased resentment toward Punk in the past, should’ve informed viewers to take this as nothing but fluff.
AEW disciplinary Committee members include :
Aubrey Edwards
Tony schivone
Matt hardy
Christopher Daniels– PWFlashLight

But unfortunately, there are many people that are taking this as true. There are many reasons that this list is entirely false. For starters, another talent can ‘t take the decision concerning a talent in the company. Also, Christopher Daniels is already the Talent Relations manager in the company, and having his hands full with it, there’s no reason for him to be on the board.
Also, to ensure there should be no bias in the decision, Khan must have brought people out of the company and not people who would be for/against the idea of keeping Punk. But the fact that people think this is true is also because of the image of Tony Khan as a child playing with toys in the wrestling business.
Wrestling fans downplay an alleged false disciplinary committee at AEW
Many fans in the comments reacted to this news as if it was true. But many of them also pointed out the reasons why this batch of names could never be on the disciplinary committee, given the sensitivity of the situation.
This fan pointed out that the committee was the same as that of Khan’s father’s sports team, the Jacksonville Jaguars.
I was told that the “Disciplinary Committee” of AEW were HRs and officials that also handles the Jaguars. So…. What is this then if it’s true? Lmao

This fan also pointed out that an external firm did the investigation.
I believe the investigation was done by an external law firm – to avoid bias for any wrongful termination suit

With the landscape circling around Punk a lot, will there be any conclusions to this story? Will Punk go to WWE to showcase his professionalism that many are criticizing at this moment? Only time will tell.
