The answer is very much yes if we ask a majority of fans. But now it looks like, that will happen as Reigns gets ready for his 1000-day celebration. Moreover, reports also indicate that it would have a historic touch, borrowed from his cousin, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

While SmackDown will be the sight of Reigns’ celebration this week, the night could be made even more special. According to a report by Fightful Select, WWE plans to borrow a page from a historic moment of his legendary cousin, The Rock.

The company mentioned that a new WWE Universal championship will be unveiled for Roman’s big night. Moreover, the report also states that it would be set up on similar lines as The Rock’s groundbreaking moment in 2013 when he unveiled a brand a WWE championship.

The Rock unveiled the WWE title in 2013 in an iconic moment

The Rock came back to WWE in 2013 to challenge then-WWE champion CM Punk at the Royal Rumble event. It was a hard-fought battle, coincidentally that also involved Roman Reigns himself, who was on Punk’s side at that time. Yet, The Great One beat the numbers game that night and reclaimed the WWE title after 10 years.

After a successful title defense against CM Punk, The Rock prepared to make history the very next night on RAW. He then retired the spinner version of the WWE championship and unveiled a more appealing title to represent his reign.

That was a big night for The Rock back then. So using that same magnitude and aura for Roman Reigns, who has a far greater achievement to celebrate, could be another historic night for WWE to add to their books.
