Today is another dark day for wrestling fans all around the world. Just over a month after The Iron Sheik’s tragic demise, 82-year-old Adrian Street passed away earlier today. The Welsh wrestling sensation breathed his last breath at The Grange University Hospital in Wales, as confirmed by his family.

His wife confirmed to the BBC that Street died because of sepsis. He was recovering from a stroke-related bleed in the brain that happened earlier this month. However, while recovering, Street developed a chronic inflammatory bowel disease which later turned into sepsis. After surviving cancer in 2001 and recovering from a heart problem, Adrian Street finally gave up.

Despite playing a heel on-screen, fans loved Adrian Street for his larger-than-life presence. After leaving his home at 16 years of age, Street was determined to make a name for himself in the pro wrestling business. His first professional wrestling match took place in 1957. And since that moment, there was no looking back for him.

Not only did Adrian Street wrestle in several countries and win NWA championships, but he also won the love of the fans with his unorthodox and flamboyant style. From his outlandish costumes to kissing his opponents during matches, he always kept fans entertained.

Everything was going well until 2001 when Street encountered cancer. Although it seemed like the end of his career, he hung on and survived it. This shows just how mentally strong Adrian Street was – a true fighter. He ultimately retired in 2014 after giving us several memorable moments over a span of 57 years.

Today, Street has left us forever. His tragic demise sent shockwaves through the wrestling community. Several current and retired wrestling stars took to social media to pay tribute to the legendary wrestler.

Triple H, Drew McIntyre, and several other stars mourn Street’s painful demise

Moments after Adrian Street’s death, Triple H took to social media and sent his thoughts and prayers to Street’s family. The WWE legend praised the Welshman for changing the wrestling world forever.

Following in Triple H’s footsteps, Drew McIntyre and William Regal also paid tribute to Adrian Street. They called him one of the toughest men they ever met and expressed their deep sadness at his passing away.

Ex-WWE star and fellow Welshman, Flash Morgan Webster, also reacted to Street’s death. Webster recalled his special moment with Adrian Street when he became the first Welsh champ in WWE before Street’s eyes. Just like others, he also paid condolences to Adrian Street’s family.

Famous wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer, Nick Aldis, And WWE on TNT Sports also eulogized the wrestler after learning about his demise.
