“RIP..Fly High With Your Dad”: A Week After Losing His Father, 25 Year Old Actor Passes Away Leaving Zelina Vega and Millions Heartbroken

The world was mourning for Paul Reubens aka Pee Wee Herman and was slowly trying to overcome it. But another tragedy befell. A well-known actor who starred in the hit show ‘Euphoria’ passed away. The fact the 25-year-old star said goodbye to the world after burying his father last week makes the news even more heartbreaking.

Angus Cloud and his story of turning into an actor for HBO’s second-most-watched series in HBO history is fascinating. The star who had no plans of becoming an actor once exclaimed, “I don’t know how to act. I’m in rooms with people that have been acting their whole life, and I’m like, ‘Why am I here?

Family bids goodbye to “incredible” Angus Cloud

The 25-year-old’s doubts were legitimate because a casting agent literally found him on the streets of Brooklyn. Nevertheless, he captured the hearts of millions with his characteristic drawl and irresistible charm. Fans of the show and several WWE personalities went into deep mourning after hearing the devastating news. As per reports, he was battling mental health issues and had an intense breakdown after losing his father last week. It is a tough time for his family, but they shared a message to the world following his demise.

As per TMZ’s report, Cloud’s mother told the police a “possible overdose” might be a reason for his passing away so young. A close family member shared that Cloud had been battling severe suicidal thoughts after he buried his father in Ireland. The actor was staying with his family to overcome his father’s death.

The Euphoria star’s family shared a message for his fans through TMZ which was, “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.”

Furthermore, the family member stated Cloud intensely struggled with his father’s loss and the only comfort to his family now is Cloud being peacefully “reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.” 

Euphoria established Cloud’s acting range with the traits that he brought to the table for ‘Fez’ which often had fans drawing an indistinguishable line between his real-life persona and the fictional character. For someone who doubted his own credentials, he had the whole world singing to his tune. The actor starred in the indie drama ‘North Hollywood’ in 2021 and also recently lend his skills to the thriller ‘The Line with John Malkovich’. He was also set to feature in films that are yet to release, such as ‘Freaky Tales’ which also features Pedro Pascal.

Nevertheless, Cloud’s family hopes that there is a silver lining to the news of his tragic demise. Cloud’s family hopes his passing away can be a sign for others to not think they are alone and not fight mental health issues in isolation. This is a message many WWE stars have shared, especially Dwayne Johnson. The fans are mourning over his loss, which also includes WWE celebrities, Zelina Vega and Kayla Braxton.

WWE star Zelina Vega shared a message on her Twitter to share her condolences while also laying emphasis on mental health and its importance.

As per reports, the Oakland Fire Department revealed it responded to an emergency at around 11:30 am and the patient was already deceased. The cause of the death was unknown. According to the Oakland Police Department, this remains an active death investigation.

The Euphoria series Twitter handle shared a tweet for Cloud.

People also showed a lot of love to his character ‘Fez’. After all, his career really took off after that role. In 2022, Cloud was an honoree at Variety’s annual Power of Young Hollywood event.

In an interview with ‘Variety’ last year, the actor said he “brought a lot to the character.” When he was a teenager, he suffered a brain injury and that was responsible for his slow-paced voice on the hit show.

Back in 2013, walking through downtown Oakland, he fell inside a construction pit. He woke up 12 hours later with a broken skull, fingers, and internal bleeding. He pulled him up out of the ditch that was around 10 feet deep. Taking a bus home with blurred vision, he tried to explain to his mother what took place. But he had trouble finishing his sentences. He was hospitalized immediately.

As per a 2019 interview with CQ, Angus Cloud didn’t aspire to become an actor. He used to work at a simple chicken and waffle joint. But one fine day was stopped in the street by an agent from a casting company and this led to his entry into the entertainment industry.

Clearly, not all the fans are ready to accept the passing away of Cloud at a young age. This news came shortly after the news of Paul Reubens aka Pee-wee Herman’s death, for which many were not ready.
