WWE legends Ric Flair and Triple H’s bond goes back a long way. Before Hunter made a name for himself in the pro-wrestling business, he met the 16-time World Champion at a seminar. According to The Nature Boy, this meeting had a significant impact in both their lives as they later teamed up to form one of the most dominating stables in WWE history.

In a recent chat with fellow WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin, the 74-year-old recalled the time he introduced The Game to a wrestling legend and the conversation the legendary wrestler had with a rookie Triple H.

Stone Cold Steve Austin was the guest on the recent episode of Flair’s To Be The Man podcast. As the WWE Hall of Famers sat together, they spoke about the old times in the business along with several other topics. Flair regaled The Texas Rattlesnake with his first meeting with Triple H.

He said the 53-year-old got into wrestling because of him. Recalling their meeting, Flair said it was at a seminar organized by American Club Systems, the organization that managed his company. The 74-year-old said he was at the bar entertaining himself when a young Triple H approached him. “Hunter handed me a tape and I took the tape back and he was in Atlanta two weeks later,” Flair said.

Before Triple H joined the WWE, he honed his skills in the WCW. This is where he met the legendary Harley Race, a wrestler who was feared and respected in equal measure by his peers both inside and outside the squared circle. Flair facilitated the interaction between The Game and Race and spoke about it on the podcast. “I go Harley, this is Paul Levesque, he’s gonna be Triple H and Harley goes ‘Shhhhh, who trained you Kid?’,” Flair said, trying to imitate the eight-time world champion.

When Hunter told him it was Killer Kowalski, Flair said the deceased legend said: “He’s the s**t”. Triple H later went on to become one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, while working closely with Flair in WWE. Despite that, they had a fallout in later years.

So, how’s the relationship between the two legends now? Let’s find out.

Do Triple H and Ric Flair talk?

Flair and Hunter have a combined 30 world championships. They were part of Evolution, a stable duo formed with superstars Randy Orton and Batista. The heel stable operated on RAW between 2003 and 2005, before their split. Their real-life equation also played out similarly as the two WWE Hall of Famers went from being good friends to not talking at all.

A few years ago Flair revealed that the friendship fell apart as they had contrasting views about Becky Lynch’s The Man nickname on WWE.

Fortunately, the two legends were able to bury their differences as the WWE’s head of creative had a conversation with his Evolution teammate at RAW XXX in January this year. Flair had earlier said that he had texted Stephanie McMahon, Triple H’s wife after The Game suffered a heart attack in 2021.
