The last time fans saw Rodriguez wrestling inside the ropes was during a live event on December 3 which was a part of WWE’s successful 2023 Holiday Tour, where she faced Nia Jax. The wrestler took to her Instagram account to announce to her fans that she was taking a break from wrestling. This decision came after the doctors diagnosed her with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome.

MCAS, short for Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, is a medical condition in which there is an excessive release of a substance from mast cells, causing symptoms similar to allergies. Wishing a happy New Year to her fans, Rodriguez disclosed her recent health status (physical, mental, and emotional).

Rodriguez opened up about her mental and emotional health status as well

Last year, she revealed she had Eczema (which is incurable). It got progressively worse in December 2023. In the video, she stated her face was red and swollen, which prevented her from traveling, going to the gym, and wrestling. She could even look at herself in the mirror, or come in front of the camera.
