There is no one who is more frightening than Rhea Ripley in WWE right now. Not only did she defeat a veteran like Natalya in mere minutes, but she also stands up to a lot of equally frightening men like Solo Sikoa, Seth Rollins, and Kevin Owens. That’s the reason for Ripley’s dominant aura in WWE right now.

But this recent Monday Night Raw, Rollins did an unthinkable action involving Ripley. In his defense, the new World Heavyweight Champion was only trying to recreate an iconic moment. But Ripley isn’t going to let this slide easily.

On the recent episode of Raw, we saw Rollins wrap his arm around Ripley’s shoulders, in the same fashion she does with Dominik Mysterio. While she didn’t realize who it was, the realization swept in after a moment and she expressed her shock and screamed. While Ripley didn’t do anything to Rollins at the time, because of the threat of disqualification, she promised to make Rollins regret his actions in a tweet.

Rollins channeled his inner Shawn Michaels for this moment, as Rollins’ mentor did the exact thing years ago. In Michaels’ tag team match, he was wrestling John Morrison and former Divas Champion Melina was his manager at the time. So Michaels also slipped out of the ring to hug Melina in the same way she did with Morrison. When Melina came to know that it was HBK, she also screamed in the same way Ripley did.

This made for a glorious moment for fans of the Attitude Era, reminiscing of older times. But how did this come to be in the first place?

How did Rollins and Ripley recreate this spot?

After becoming the WHC at Night of Champions, Rollins opened the show at this night’s Raw. He celebrated his victory with his fans, but then AJ Styles interrupted him. Coming face-to-face with his opponent last night, Styles also congratulated Rollins on his victory. But the two were in turn interrupted by The Judgement Day, who challenged the two to a tag team match later that night.

The two confirmed the match with Adam Pearce and wrestled Finn Balor and Damien Priest in the main event of the night. With two A-listers in the ring, Rollins picked up the first victory after his big win to send the fans happy.
