Looking from a third-party perspective, it appears WWE is going through a rough time. Following the company’s acquisition by Endeavor, there have been a number of changes. The most notable difference has manifested itself in the form of mass releases. Several fans online have displayed concerns over the multiple layoffs that the wrestling promotion witnessed a few days ago. However, some suggest things could’ve been different if it wasn’t for Vince McMahon.

According to several fans worldwide, Vince McMahon is the reason why so many WWE employees lost their jobs. This belief claims that both in-ring and backstage talents were at the mercy of McMahon as they let them go. But new reports suggest an entirely different scenario behind the mass release. In fact, these firings couldn’t even have saved McMahon’s popular former employee, had she not retired earlier.

Vince McMahon has worked with several employees, but one of his most talented ones is Stephanie McMahon. His own daughter used to work for him and WWE while she was still focused on her career. After taking on a number of roles for the Stamford-based company, she called it quits last year. Reports suggest that this might have saved her from getting fired, as her father had a minor role to play in the releases.

FightFul was informed about a Staff Meeting in Stamford that included Vince McMahon, Triple H, Nick Khan, and Ari Emanuel. Endeavor’s CEO was there for an important discussion. While talking about the mass release, Fightful reported how there was a belief that Steph could’ve supervised the releases to not let them get out of hand. However, the layoffs were Endeavor’s call, and even Stephanie was in the room when her ex-team got dismantled.

Steph dodged the $21 Million swinging ‘axe’ that was the merged sports entertainment company of TKO, as her father might not have been able to save her. Despite Vince not having a role in this, WWE fans are still hating him for what happened. Moreover, even the staff at Endeavor is not happy with how he manages things while being in power.
