The wrestling world is abuzz with both excitement and a touch of confusion as WWE and UFC have merged to create TKO Group Holdings. This significant shift has resulted in the departure of notable wrestlers such as Dolph Ziggler, Shelton Benjamin, Mustafa Ali, and Emma from WWE.

Previously, Haus of Wrestling had hinted at major alterations coming to the wrestling rosters, and now these changes are underway. Quincy Elliott, formerly recognized as Congo Crush before entering WWE, has parted ways with the company. They did capture considerable attention in the wrestling community. Nevertheless, the released star opted to celebrate his departure from the promotion rather than wallow in sorrow.

Quincy Elliott, a wrestler celebrated for their unique style and talents, has departed from WWE NXT. The Super Diva gained fame in the world of independent wrestling as Congo Crush before making his WWE debut on March 22, 2022.

While he initially made a strong impression, his journey in WWE had its share of highs and lows. His final WWE match took place on August 18, 2023, in a match against Ikemin Jiro that failed to yield a winner.

Quincy made his exit announcement via Instagram Story, stating, “I am no longer with WWE. Let the celebration begin.” This surprising move has left fans and fellow wrestlers both astonished and inquisitive about his future plans, prompting questions about the reasons behind his departure.

While the exact causes of his exit remain undisclosed, speculations suggest that backstage issues may have played a role. Are you also wondering what can be the reason?

The backstage drama that might have shown the NXT star the exit door

A recently released WWE star is said to have stirred up backstage trouble before being let go. This news comes just nine days after the WWE merger with UFC/Endeavor to form TKO. It led to several releases on September 21, including NXT’s Quincy Elliott. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful provided insights into the reasons behind Elliott’s release during a Fightful Select livestream.

Sapp stated, “Quincy Elliott was a trouble. Quincy Elliott caused all kinds of issues for the staff in WWE. It was somebody who was always going to be up next on the chopping block. No other way to put it. Quincy Elliott was gonna get cut out.”

Elliott made his in-ring debut in March 2021. He initially generated buzz with his ‘Super Diva’ persona. However, he struggled to gain momentum or achieve sustained success on the brand, with his last NXT TV appearance.

It was being in an NXT North American Title number one contender battle royal in March this year—his only NXT TV match since October. His final WWE match occurred at an NXT house show in Tampa on August 19.
