WWE in the Vince McMahon era was significantly different from WWE post the McMahon era. As we are currently living in the latter, we are constantly witnessing some stigma-breaking evolution, including an increased number of collaborations. As part of this revolutionary phase, Logan Paul made a big business move through a lucrative Prime-WWE deal. But he may not have been able to pull this off with ease under McMahon’s command, and here’s why.
Logan Paul explained Vince McMahon’s psyche behind an age-old WWE custom
Vince McMahon was at the helm of the biggest sports entertainment company for the past few decades. He used to be the key force behind even any smallest of the small alterations to his company. He set up some self-governing rules to keep his my way or the highway attitude intact. One of his popular laws was to ban the ringside area from hosting any promotions and advertisements. But since the ball is in the TKO group’s court now, they are not bound to carry on these age-old traditions anymore. They rather chose to attract big money by penning a deal with Logan Paul’s much-hyped-up Prime Hydration.

Appearing in a recent episode of Impaulsive, The Maverick reflected on Vince McMahon’s mind space behind not allowing an advertisement to be engraved on the ring mat.
”Vince was really protective of the mat and not putting any brands on it. But this is the new era, which it is no matter how you cut it. You know it’s a TKO, it’s a publicly traded company. They got to meet a bottom line. That spot was going to be sold,” he explained.
”We saw an opportunity and potentially an opportunity to make people hate me even more because I am a heel and that’s the kind of angle I took. I was like this f**k you all. I am a stamp.” Paul added, elucidating how his heel turn clearly aligned with his business motive.

However, the social media prodigy didn’t stop after striking the largest sponsorship deal ever in WWE’s history. His beverage market touched another milestone entering into the professional basketball realm.
Logan Paul’s Prime entered into a strategic partnership with the LA Lakers
Paul knows how to pull in money and success with all his being and so is his drink. Paul and KSI’s joint venture Prime Hydration has already etched its name as one of the top brands in the industry. Despite being engulfed with some controversies regarding health and safety issues, Prime bounced back and continued riding the ladder without its exceptional marketing blueprints.
Before gracing the WWE mat, the energy drink company already started sponsoring some of the leading sports juggernauts, including FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and the UFC. Now, the Los Angeles Lakers has been added to the list.
