Ronda Rousey was at the receiving end of a brutal betrayal at WWE Money In The Bank. During the PLE, the 36-year-old not only dropped her WWE Tag team titles but also lost her best friend in the company. Rousey and her tag-team partner Shayna Baszler took on the duo of Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez and lost due.

The twist, however, was Baszler’s attack on Rousey. Their friendship fell apart as she choked the Baddest Woman on the Planet to hand over the advantage to their opponents. Rodriguez slammed her and Morgan completed the formalities to win the titles. Days after the loss, Rousey has taken a shot at her employer.

Ever since she jumped to WWE from UFC, Rousey quickly became one of WWE’s biggest attractions. This was due to her legendary career in the UFC, where she established herself as a dominating MMA athlete.

After making her WWE debut in January 2018, Rousey won her first championship in August of that year. She beat Alexa Bliss to win the WWE RAW Women’s Championship. She remained champion for 231 days, which was a record till Becky Lynch broke it later.

Recently, she won the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Baszler. Akin to her UFC stint, her pro wrestling career in WWE has been successful. Despite that, the Olympic Bronze medalist took a shot at WWE.

“When your time gets cut three times but you still put on a banger #ChickenSalad 🍗🥗 #TagTeamChampionships,” Rousey posted on Instagram as the caption to the video of her Money In The Bank match. She exposed the WWE for cutting her time.

Her publicly denouncing WWE for cutting her match short may not sit well with the higher-ups. This could earn her the wrath of the management and affect her $1.5 million check that she draws from the Stamford-based promotion early. But there could be some logic behind this move by Rousey and it relates to her future with WWE.

Another possible reason for Ronda Rousey to be critical of WWE

As per reports, Rousey is set to leave WWE after the SummerSlam PLE. If logic prevails, she would face her former best friend, Baszler, at the event to settle their score. At least that’s what the fans are demanding.

Rousey’s latest move could also be a part of her heel gimmick. Exposing the WWE could get her more heat from the fans and help her build momentum for the match.

As the 36-year-old is leaving, there are chances that fans’ interest would drop. But if Rousey manages to pin some blame on the management and the company, it would force fans to defend WWE and boo her. This will ultimately work in the favor by generating interest in the bout.
