Rey Mysterio is constantly at loggerheads with his son ‘Dirty’ Dom. But every father takes some pride in their son’s achievements no matter how bad their relationship with them really is. The same is the case between the Mysterio father-son duo. And recently Rey Mysterio expressed how proud he is of his son’s achievements.

This is the same son who called his father a ‘deadbeat dad’ just a few months ago.

Rey Mysterio is super proud of what his son has achieved at such a young age

Dominik Mysterio dislikes his dad to the core. That was clearly evident last week on SmackDown when new GM Nick Aldis said that he is a big fan of his father Rey Mysterio. Fans in the arena loved that comment but ‘Dirty’ Dom was left fuming with anger.

The same feeling is also shared by Rey Mysterio. In one interview he said that he would slap his son the next time he met him. This was in retaliation to his son saying that he won the United States Championship just to take the limelight away from his son.

But on his recent appearance on The MMA Hour, Rey Mysterio got really honest and spoke about his true feelings about his son’s main event status in the WWE. He said, “This is me speaking as Oscar (Rey Mysterio’s real name), it’s unbelievable. Like again to see how fast he’s been learning and growing and how he connects with the audience is like WOW! I had that at one point, and maybe I still do, but the good side, like I love the chants, the cheers, and the ovation, and he’s the complete opposite, for him to be able to start mastering that now with only one year as a heel, I can’t even imagine what it’s gonna be like in 3 or 4 years. He is not even at his peak yet, so it is shocking and my pride is over the roof.”

But irrespective of all this pride, Rey Mysterio is always ready to face his son in the ring. And he would love to have this dream tag team partner to face his son and new arch nemesis Logan Paul.

Rey Mysterio would love to have Bad Bunny as his tag team partner

Rey Mysterio will not leave any chance to put his son Dominik Mysterio in place. Hence, when he was suggested a tag team match with a certain dream partner against Logan Paul and ‘Dirty’ Dom, he loved the idea.

In his recent interview with ESPN, Mysterio was extremely delighted to hear of this dream match suggestion and said, “Put it out in the universe. Let’s hope WWE listens to that and picks it up. That’s a good one.”
