On Monday’s daily updates, renowned wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer spoke on Wrestling Observer Radio about various topics including Monday Night RAW, Dolph Ziggler aka Nic Nemeth, Cora Jade and much more. During a brief segment on the podcast, he also spoke about Brock Lesnar while answering a question on how soon the beast will be back.

Update on Brock Lesnar’s return after months of absence

Brock Lesnar was last seen in the WWE ring during his match against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam on August 5th of last year in Detroit, Michigan. The aforementioned match was part of a three-match storyline between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar. The Beast signed off with an off-script handshake with the American Nightmare.

Since then, he has been absent from TV programming with no news on his return, until recently. Answering the question on Lesnar’s return, Meltzer said, “Very soon. At any time. Yes, maybe next week.” Meltzer further explained why Lesnar did not appear in the recent episode of RAW by saying, “I would think that [last night] would not be the week to have Brock Lesnar return, given that this might be one of the lower-rated shows, considering they went against the football game and the Emmy Awards.”

Well, as of now WWE has promoted no news about the return of Brock Lesnar but Meltzer has provided some updates about Lesnar’s surprise return at the Royal Rumble. He said, “So if he’s going to return for the Rumble, next week would be the week.

Brock Lesnar’s return at Royal Rumble has another layer of mystery

Royal Rumble is just a few days away and fans are excited to see more surprising returns this year. But what if Lesnar does not return? Well, Meltzer answered that too. He said, “If he’s going to return shortly after, then it could be a couple of weeks later.

Regardless Meltzer feels that Lesnar will be back no matter what as WrestleMania season is approaching. He states, “But he’s going to be back. It’ll be interesting to see when he’s back — I mean, I would presume he’s in the Rumble.” We have seen many faces of Brock Lesnar in the past couple of years, including Cowboy Brock. Regardless of the gimmick, it would appear that the company would bring back the Beast Incarnate for the Rumble.
