The online world is full of scammers, and WWE stars are no strangers to getting scammed. As Dwayne Johnson once used to say, “It doesn’t matter what your name is,” online scammers target everyone. Another name joining the list of victims is Johnson’s own daughter, Ava Raine.

22-year-old Raine has been in NXT for almost a year now but still hasn’t carved out a name for herself. Despite this, she has been a victim of online harassment from several avenues. Now, trolls have figured out yet another way of messing with the young wrestler as she’s become a victim to online scammers.

As with all wrestling superstars, Johnson’s daughter is on social media. However, she has kept away from some platforms. Mostly, Raine operates on X and Instagram. Unlike her father and other wrestlers, she has not created a Facebook profile.

However, some online scammers have created Facebook profiles with her given name, Simone Garcia Johnson, and her likeness. These profiles pretend to belong to Raine while scamming innocent and unsuspecting victims out of money. Upon realizing what was being done with her name, Raine took to Instagram to send a message.

“I do NOT have a facebook. Please report this account immediately,” Raine wrote on her Instagram story with a screenshot of the fake account. This was to make her fans and others aware of the account so they could report it to Facebook admins and authorities.

Now, Raine is not the only WWE star to fall prey to scammers, there have been many before her, mostly from the women’s division.

Mandy Rose, Liv Morgan, and Alexa Bliss all get targeted

It comes as no surprise that scammers target the women’s division of the WWE. With their popularity and fame among the male demographic, it is easy to con and manipulate unsuspecting victims. Mandy Rose and Alexa Bliss were also targets of scammers who created fake profiles on social media. These are created with the hopes of extracting money out of young fans.

Liv Morgan was another victim, but her quick thinking was able to save her fans from losing a ton of money. Being aware of what social media platforms WWE personnel use helps avoid scammers. However, some still fall prey, especially with instances like Raine’s scammers, but making her fans aware that the fake profile is not hers helps.
