Just hours before their high-voltage tag team match at Fastlane on October 7, The Bloodline and LA Knight met face-to-face on SmackDown. At the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri, Knight received words of praise from WWE veteran and Bloodline member Paul Heyman.

However, it didn’t go down well for the legendary manager thereafter.

What happened with Paul Heyman?

Heyman had been teasing an alliance with Knight for a few weeks now. However, after getting snubbed a few weeks ago, he mocked Knight on one of the past episodes. That seemed to be a thing of the past as he showered massive praise on the SmackDown star.

But the 40-year-old didn’t appreciate the words. In fact, he told Heyman- who snubbed Solo Sikoa to praise Knight- that he didn’t believe anything, claiming, “Let me check the receipt, No, I didn’t buy your BS.”

Getting rejected publicly, a dejected Heyman received support from Jimmy Uso and Sikoa, who were ready to pounce on Knight, but John Cena’s arrival made them chuck that plan.

Later Knight challenged Jimmy Uso for a singles match, which turned out to be pretty interesting. This is not the first time Knight has managed to take on The Bloodline singlehandedly. He had managed a similar feat a few months ago.

When LA Knight knocked Roman Reigns and his cousins off without landing a single blow

After months of delay in a push and recognition, the WWE now agrees that LA Knight is the fastest rising superstar in the company. Knight’s meteoric rise has left many surprised and others in awe. Not just the ‘Yeah’ chants, which has now become synonymous with him, his ability to control the crowd is also enviable.

On the other hand, there’s no denying that Roman Reigns and The Bloodline ruled the roost when it came to popularity within the WWE Universe. The Anoa’i family members, aided by Paul Heyman, have the numbers to justify that claim. For weeks they topped the charts, even as the faction started to develop bigger chinks with each passing week on SmackDown.

The story was so riveting that that clips about the stable shared online by WWE would garner millions of views, with no competitors in close proximity. But that order was changed by Knight, singlehandedly. As WWE released a digital only clip of Knight’s dark match from the iconic Madison Square Garden on July 7, following dissent from fans, it garnered more views that segments from Reigns and his family.

Knight has since been a tough competitor for the stable and one of the top merch sellers in the company. To give another example of his growth, the WWE offered to payback ticket prices after Knight was forced to retire from a show- which advertised him- due to health concerns.
