There are bound to be catchy moments whenever The Bloodline meets The Judgment Day. On the October 6 episode of SmackDown, the two groups lived up to expectations. Rhea Ripley of Judgment Day met Paul Heyman of The Bloodline backstage and they delivered a riveting segment.

While it’s not clear what they spoke about, it did look like Mami asking the Wise Man to switch alliances and manage it.

It is too early to make such a prediction, but glimpses showed that development is in the works. After the Bobby Lashley vs. Rey Mysterio encounter, the backstage segment showed Ripley and Heyman in an intense discussion.

The manager showed praise on Mami for her ideas, which wasn’t revealed, though Ripley spoke about collaboration, reminding Heyman how strong they would be as a group.

When the 58-year-old told her that he needed authorization from Roman Reigns, she had other ideas. The Eradicator prevented Heyman from calling his Tribal Chief and instead said, “Paul, Acknowledge Me”. While Heyman did call Reigns, it happened after she left. So, did Ripley just usurp Reigns, or are The Judgment Day and The Bloodline forming an alliance to deal with common foes?

Well, we had the answer later in the show.

Ripley tells her boys to attack John Cena and LA Knight

LA Knight and Jimmy Uso, as scheduled earlier in the night, squared off for the main event. The match was almost won by the 40-year-old but Solo Sikoa’s interference forced the official to call of the bout. Soon, John Cena rushed in to save Knight and even the numbers.

But that didn’t last for long as Ripley and her Judgment Day stablemates walked out. While it looked a bit confusing, as the members of both The Judgment Day and The Bloodline stood in close proximity, especially after their backstage segment, Heyman announced that he had authorization and shook Ripley’s hands.

Seconds later, Ripley ordered her boys to attack Knight and Cena. Fortunately for the duo, Jey Uso rushed to the ring and was soon followed by Cody Rhodes, who reunited with Cena after months. As the teams almost even out once again, the heels were about to let go, but was attacked by Cena and his allies.

In the melee that ensued, Cena and Sikoa had a semi singles face-off, giving fans a glimpse into the future. But it was JD McDonagh who took the most punishment. All four superstars hit the Irish pro wrestler with their signature moves as he writhed in pain.
