Empathizing with someone often tells us why the other person does what they usually do. Using this basic technique, a former WWE employee was trying to relate with Tony Khan and his decisions. In his podcast’s recent episode, Eric Bischoff talked about problems that could surface while handling a promotion. Moreover, he mentioned how these issues should ideally be taken care of.

During the same segment, he also mentioned Khan’s decision while handling AEW. Although Bischoff doesn’t consider him either a good or a bad manager, he still gave an important tip on how Khan should be treating his talent to let the company function more smoothly.

Vince McMahon is known greatly for the way he took WWE to new heights. In the podcast ’83 Weeks’, Bischoff complimented his spirit to handle the promotion. He also praised how McMahon stood strong in the toughest of situations and considered him a good example of how a promoter should be. Then, he came on to talk about Tony Khan and empathized with the problems he has been having in handling AEW.

In the podcast episode, Bischoff said, “At a certain point in time you got to just draw a line saying ‘F*ck it dude. Here’s how this is gonna work and if you don’t like it, take a walk. Here’s the terms of your contracts, here’s how your contract’s going to work. If you don’t like it, I’ll cut you loose. Or if you breach that contract, I’ll take you to court’. At a certain point, you have to do that.

He believes that Tony Khan has been lacking this firm take. Former WCW promoter also considers this the reason why “AEW is out of control“.

Here, Bischoff was referring to a number of controversial events that have happened in AEW, pointing toward the lack of firm management. Bischoff himself oversaw the glory days before backstage politics saw them ultimately fail as they ended up being bought by WWE.

There was a specific instance when another ex-WWE personality empathized with Tony Khan for putting up with AEW wrestlers.

Although now CM Punk is back in AEW’s ring, performing as a wrestler, there was a time when he was away from the promotion. This was particularly because of the real-life feud that he had with AEW’s EVPs. Even though it became a personal feud because of the backstage violence that occurred and Punk was suspended for the same, he wasn’t particularly at a disadvantage. Instead, Jim Cornette saw Tony Khan at a disadvantage too.

Cornette called out the EVPs for limiting Khan’s actions because of their feud and not settling it with Punk. Due to this, the CEO of AEW had to give Punk his contract money without getting to utilize him in any event as a wrestler.
