A few days from now, WWE superstars Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will lock horns at the Grandest Stage of Them all for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship title. Surprisingly, Cody wasn’t the first choice for this mammoth clash. It was a distant relative of The Tribal Chief, who could have faced him at the SoFi Stadium.

If you still haven’t guessed, the opponent was none other than The Brahma Bull- Dwayne Johnson. Yes, for the longest time, WWE creative had pitted the two against each other, hoping for a gigantic clash between the Anoa’i family members. However, that plan had to be shelved as the $800 million Hollywood star couldn’t get into match shape.

But a recent announcement from the WWE has fans believing that Dwayne Johnson might return to WrestleMania 39, scheduled for April 1 and 2.

Kevin Hart to host WrestleMania 39, fans hope to see frequent collaborator Dwayne Johnson

The Stamford-based promotion announced popular comedian and frequent Dwayne Johnson collaborator, Kevin Hart, as the host of the upcoming mega event. The development was delivered via a tweet. Hart, 43, not only gave his approval but also lauded the company for making the “right choice for host”.

This had fans reacting to his tweet. While many congratulated Hart for the job, several fans speculated a possible return for Dwayne Johnson, as the two have joined hands for successful projects in the past.

“Okay we got Kevin. Dwayne has to be with him right? It just wouldn’t feel right without them together for this,” one user said.

Another tweeted, “@TheRock this confirms it. LETS GOOOOOO.”

A few netizens also urged the $450 million comedian to bring along The People’s Champ.

A Twitter user joked that Rey Mysterio wouldn’t be the shortest guy at this year’s event, with Hart hosting it.

The senior Mysterio is set to take on his son Dominik, hoping to teach the latter some lessons on civility.

Meanwhile, Kevin Hart’s major update on his professional relationship with The Great One might not impress fans.

Kevin Hart hints at ending partnership with Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart have almost nothing in common when it comes to their physicality. The Rock is a giant of a man with a deep voice, while Hart is hardly above 5 feet 5 inches and packs less muscle than his bulky co-star. However, their oddity works.

A glance at their common filmography, including the Jumanji franchise, is proof that leaving aside their glaring physical differences, the duo knows how to work together on screen.

Unfortunately, fans of the pair would have to say goodbye to it soon, according to Kevin Hart.
