Differences are hard to accommodate and deal with. It’s true, especially in the pro wrestling business, where there are multiple minds working for the creative aspect. Although it’s good to have more than one brain behind the creative, one individual dominating the ideas could create a dysfunctional dynamic. It looks like WWE is going through something similar with its former CEO, Vince McMahon.
A lot of people might have seen the conflicts between McMahon’s ideas and the content demand of WWE fans. This could be because the former CEO liked to catch his fans off guard with last moment decisions. And it appears that the entire backstage staff is trying to change this dynamic.

Those fans who are new to the sport may not be aware of the fact that McMahon is known for making last-moment changes to the creative aspects of a show. Whether it be any show under WWE, fans have seen McMahon’s dominance in the creatives for a long time. But now, according to journalist Dave Meltzer, the backstage crew is attempting to push back.
Speaking on Wrestler Observer Radio, Meltzer even mentioned Triple H and said, “He re-did the entire show (SmackDown). I’ve heard a lot about this, and I know that there’s rumors that… everyone’s gotta be, like, treading on water. Because I am sure, logic will tell you, that there are many unhappy people. And Paul Levesque has to be one of them.”
He then went on to talk about how there have been attempts to stop this tendency. However, no good has yet come out of it. “I’m sure there’s gonna be people who are gonna try to ask him nicely, but it’s Vince, he’s gonna do what he’s gonna do,” said Meltzer
Not just the employees working backstage, but fans are also looking for ways to retaliate against McMahon’s creative control.
Fans take action against Vince McMahon
After the UFC-WWE merger deal, there was a persistent fear among fans that McMahon might return backstage with all his influence. The fear grew more prevalent when fans saw that WWE’s creative decisions have started to change. According to the fans, the creative orientation had started to resemble Vince McMahon’s ideas. As a result, the audience was scared to see McMahon return to power and started to protest against him.
