Despite being in his 50s, Dwayne Johnson is still very particular about his physique. Even before the wrestler came out of retirement to feature on WWE, he still followed a strict diet and routine to keep himself in the best of shape. Coming from a pro wrestling background, the Hollywood actor has never shied away from doing his own stunts for the big screen whenever he got the chance.

No matter how easy or difficult the stunt would be, he always put his heart and soul into doing it. But for a while now, the 51-year-old megastar hasn’t performed any stunts while filming movies. He recently shared a tweet revealing when he last actually did his own stunts for a movie.

Recently, an X (formerly Twitter) account shared a couple of “amazing” behind-the-scenes photos featuring Johnson. The first one is him doing his stunt in front of a green screen. The second one is the same stunt with CGI effects in the background. The shots were from the 2018 action movie, Skyscraper.

Replying to the tweet, The Great One wrote that he had “some crazy fun” while filming the shot. He also revealed that he is still as good as he ever was.

Johnson is too valuable to get hurt. The directors and producers try to keep him away from any harm as possible, as they don’t want to pay for any serious damage that he may suffer while doing stunts. But do you know that one director forced him to do his own stunts once?

The time when Johnson scared the movie director while performing his stunts

In the 2015 movie San Andreas, director Brad Peyton asked The Brahma Bull and other actors to perform their own stunts. It was because he wanted to capture the faces of the actors while doing stunts, which would make the movie seem more realistic.

The budget of the movie was $110 million, which means the movie creators could easily afford to hire stunt doubles. However, the idea of giving the movie an authentic touch was stuck in Peyton’s mind. The People’s Champion, being an adrenaline junkie, readily agreed to perform his stunts when he was asked to.

At times, Peyton was worried for Johnson’s safety while doing the stunts, but when he saw the end product, he felt that all the efforts he and his team put into the stunts shooting were worth it. He was really happy with how it all turned out.
