Not Tiffany Stratton, 26 Y/O NXT Star to Beat Becky Lynch & Set Up Rhea Ripley vs. Becky Lynch Feud? Here’s How the WWE Universe Could Finally Get This Dream Match Up

Becky Lynch, also known as ‘The Man,’ is among the most gifted wrestlers in the WWE women’s division. While her in-ring work and mic skills are great, she has not had an exciting feud in a long time. However, this might change now that she has her eyes trained on Rhea Ripley‘s title. According to recent developments, this potential feud might also put Lynch’s NXT Women’s Champion title at stake to put the spotlight on a young star.

Lynch had won the title after beating Tiffany Stratton on the September 12 episode of NXT. Despite being part of the Four Horsewomen in NXT, she had never won the title before. Now, it seems this title win could be the setup or catalyst for something big. But who could she lose the title to?

Becky Lynch might drop the title to Lyra Valkyria 

After the match with Stratton, Lynch came across another up-and-coming star, Lyra Valkyria. The 26-year-old is one of the most hot and rising stars in the WWE. Lynch praised Valkyria for her match with Dana Brooke on the same night. Lynch is the second wrestler to praise Valkyria after Rhea Ripley did the same. 

Valkyria, an Irish wrestler just like Lynch, was honored and humbled by the praises from ‘The Man’. While the interaction was simple and wholesome, fans believe it could be hinting at something bigger, possibly at WWE’s next NXT No Mercy PPV. This event is set to take place on September 30 at the Mechanics Bank Arena in Bakersfield, California.

With the NXT Women’s title belt, Lynch is a Grand Slam Champion for holding the WWE RAW, SmackDown, Women’s Tag Team, and NXT Women’s championship belts. While there are many other great opponents Lynch could drop the belt to, such as Blair Davenport or Roxanne Perez, Valkyria’s name tops the list for several reasons.

The main reason for this is that it will be the perfect setup for a Ripley vs. Lynch feud. Valkyria and Ripley have had an ongoing feud during Ripley’s tenure in NXT. After their encounters in both singles and tag matches, Ripley gained respect for Valkyria. This is unlike her character.

The feud elevated Valkyria in the eyes of the NXT fans. This is why they believe Lynch and Valkyria could have an epic match. Putting these two in the ring will result in a top-quality Irish Women’s match. With a title drop to Valkyria, Lynch can move on to something bigger.

The possible Ripley vs. Lynch feud after 4 years

Over time, Lynch and Ripley have proven to be among the most loved and talented stars in the WWE. While the WWE has done a great job of teasing a feud between the two, they have wrestled before in a singles match on NXT. In November 2019, the match between the two took place and was regarded as one of the most hyped matches of the night. However, there was no winner for the match, as Shayna Baszler and Co. attacked both wrestlers resulting in a disqualification. 

Four years after the unsatisfying ending to their first match, these two rockstars of the Women’s division could be facing off again. Lynch has gone on record saying that Ripley was a “main event side piece” before concluding, “I don’t need that title, that title needs me.” These statements were dropped before the London Money in the Bank event this year.

However, nothing has materialized yet. Fans could see a Ripley interference in a possible Lynch vs. Valkyria match to set up their feud.
