This past Saturday, February 24, WWE held the Elimination Chamber event from Australia. In said event, Becky Lynch managed to emerge victorious from the elimination chamber by getting a title opportunity. Soon after her win, she was part of an interview where she shared her thoughts on the win and also revealed some WWE backstage secrets.

And details of one of those backstage scenarios were spilled when she talked about the Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns fight at WrestleMania XL. So without further ado, let’s dig in deeper to find out what ‘the Man’ had to share.

For years, the WWE universe wanted a dream match between ‘the Man’ and Ronda Rousey. They did have a Triple Threat at WrestleMania 35, but it wasn’t a singles competition like the fans wanted. And while it surely was teased, WWE never pulled it off. And now, Rousey has left the company following SummerSlam 2023. So while talking about the match that never happened and that people thought it would be evergreen, and it was not; she shared the Rock vs. Reigns as an example. She said, “For years everybody wanted The Rock versus Roman but it’s not the time for it right now. Everybody wants Roman versus Cody and so some things have their seasons and we didn’t have that season.”

But while the Rock remains a part of the WWE as a board member of TKO even after WrestleMania, the area match between the 2024 Elimination Chamber winner and the UFC megastar seems like a pipe dream. Though Lynch might stay for a long time in the company because of all the title opportunities, what about Ronda Rousey?

ROH Wrestling’s Thanksgiving special saw a very striking moment as it was Ronda Rousey’s debut. The professional wrestler reformed her team with Marina Shafir to face world champion Athena and Billie Starkz, achieving a victory by provoking the latter’s surrender.

The match followed a series of special appearances that ‘The Baddest Woman on the Planet’ made in the indie scene, and that began to create speculation on the part of fans. Fans were already thinking about the possibility of Rousey being hired by Tony Khan to join the ranks of AEW or ROH.

However, the WWE Triple Crown Champion’s plans are far from the ring. PWInsider confirmed that Ronda Rousey is not in talks with All Elite Wrestling or any company that is seeking her services. ‘The Baddest Woman on the Planet’ has become much more focused on the release of her next book, as well as getting out of public life in order to spend more time with her family. This coincides with previous reports that Ronda Rousey was in a “comfortable” position by accepting independent dates near Los Angeles, where she currently resides. So it doesn’t look like she would be coming back to the WWE anytime soon. What do you think? Is a dream match still possible? Let us know in the comments.
