Protein is very crucial for body-building. That is why it is called the building blocks of the muscles. Fitness enthusiasts, bodybuilders, and wrestlers incorporate a sufficient amount of protein in their daily routine to maintain their muscle mass and promote muscle growth.

The same goes for Dwayne Johnson. It is no secret he follows a strict diet and workout plan in order to maintain his incredible physique. A major component of his strict diet is a super healthy shake, which consists of a considerable amount of protein. And it is not normal to that of an average human being.

Dwayne Johnson takes 60-75 grams of protein per serving

A while back in 2021, ‘The Brahman Bull’ shared a video of his protein shake recipe. He also mentioned that he usually consumes his protein shake 10 mins after his working out like a body-building freak. The ingredients of his post-workout shake are as follows:

  • 65-70 grams of protein powder
  • 35grams carbohydrate power
  • 1 whole apple
  • 1 scoop electrolytes
  • Creatine
  • Water
  • Ice

This is only the amount from his post-workout shake. Surely, throughout the day he must consume much more grams of protein as a part of his other meals. Clearly, you can see that the amount of protein in his post-workout shake is quite a bit much compared to that of an average human being.

An average amount of protein intake for a normal person

In April 2022, the Mayo Clinic Health System released a report on how much protein a person should consume. As per the report, 15–30 grams of protein is an ideal amount to intake at each meal. The report also mentioned that consuming more than the recommended amount is going to do no extra good for the body.

The report also mentions that a person should consume o.36 per pound of body weight. And given the fact ‘The Great One ‘is a ginormous human being, his daily protein intake seems reasonable. Plus, being a celebrity, he has access to world-class nutritionists. So it’s really about what suits his body.
