LA Knight has been the apple of the WWE Universe’s collective eye. To them, the man can do no wrong and deserves to be pushed to the top of the card. But things could have turned out differently for him as one of his actions on WWE TV led to a major backlash from the network. During his split from the Maximm Male Models group, Knight hinted at striking Maxxine Dupri, something that didn’t go down well.

Knight earned intense heat from the company as a result of his unintentional yet chaotic solo rampage. Maximum Male Models Mace and Mansoor recently live-streamed a video podcast on Twitch and discussed the horrifying mishap. In fact, things would’ve been far worse had Mace not intervened.

While the WWE superstars participate in scripted and pre-decided battles, there’s no denying that they pack a heavy punch. According to an exchange between Mace and Mansoor, LA Knight once went berserk during a segment alongside Maximum Fitness Males. The babyface wrestler accidentally became lightheaded and entered a violent frenzy. In fact, he almost crossed a dangerous boundary and came alarmingly close to striking Maxxine Dupri

The Twitch livestream showed Mace saying, “That was like the start of LA Knight turning on us. So he starts like he’s gonna… he’s gonna start getting really mad. He’s gonna rip off his jacket, start throwing it and he’s gonna yell at us. He’s gonna start turning back into the LA Knight that he was no more. And he does it but for some reason he got lightheaded and he just started like stammering and he was like… he couldn’t get his jacket off all the way and we thought he was gonna punch Maxxine.”

Due to this, LA Knight didn’t just invite flak from WWE, but also the broadcasting network. Mansoor said, “he got in trouble for that! Apparently, the network came down hard on WWE saying that you cannot…” Mace cut in between and said, “No! Nobody can come too close to a woman!” Mansoor continued, “nobody can suggest violence against women.”

Mace further narrated the fiasco, saying, “And if you… if you watch that back… I pulled her outta the way because haha it was close!” While Mace’s presence of mind and quick thinking saved Knight from consequences that night, nothing could help him when his very script set him up for failure.

The unintentional script that turned LA Knight’s heel

LA Knight has earned staunch popularity as a face in an industry where the public conventionally favors heels over faces. Knight was booked against Mansoor in a match, after which, he was supposed to deliver a promo.

However, Knight’s words surprised everyone, except Knight himself. The 40-year-old wrestler trashed the crowd and insulted them for supporting him and exited the ring, leaving everyone dumbfounded.

Knight was later called to Triple H’s office where the WWE COO questioned why Knight went off-script. LA Knight said that he did that because he was a heel, and was told off by Hunter for it, who told him he was a face. Knight later told him that a writer had directed him to act as a heel.

Fortunately, Knight didn’t face the consequences Mansoor and Mace faced, since the flaw lay in the script he was provided. What are your thoughts about this? Let them take center stage in the comments section.
