“No Talent No Power.”- Dwayne Johnson’s Daughter Shows No Signs of Generational Talent as Fans Are Left Unimpressed on Her First Big Night in NXT

The Anoa’i family is the greatest family in wrestling history. With industry movers like The Rock, Roman Reigns, The Usos, and more their lineage is truly spectacular. Up until now, fans were excited to see megastar Dwayne Johnson’s daughter perform and deliver a spectacular match, in her first singles match in WWE. While she did deliver, it was for all the wrong reasons.

The expectations on her shoulders were massive to begin with due to the comparisons that emerge with her father’s skill set, especially when there is a pool of immense talent in NXT. Moreover, the WWE Universe would never go easy on Raine with every promo and move being subjected to scrutiny. This is exactly what transpired. On the latest edition of NXT, the internet roasted Ava for her dreadful debut and even threw a slight diss at her father, Dwayne Johnson. 

Ava Raine disappoints big time in her match against Ivy Nile

As a part of the group Schism, Raine took on Ivy Nile in what fans predicted to be a high-quality matchup. However, much to her dismay, the match lacked soul and resulted in a brief encounter. The continuation of one of the hottest storylines in NXT should have yielded much more fruitful progress and reviews from the fans.

On top of that, the booking made Raine look extremely weak. After Raine dominated the entire matchup, it just took Nile only one move to turn the tables. Nile reigned supreme by making her opponent tap out. 

On top of that, WWE projected Nile as a beast being able to endure almost all of Schism’s grunts. She achieved this by either throwing them down with a German suplex or taking them down with the plethora of strikes and moves in her arsenal.

Despite the departure of the Creed Brothers from The Diamond Mine after the ‘Loser Leaves NXT’ match, Nile showed that the faction has much more to offer after a dominant win over Raine. Unfortunately, the booking failed to elevate Raine who desperately needed a good outing on her debut. This weak projection not only failed to put Raine over, but the short duration of the match, which was hardly a few minutes, didn’t make fans happy at all.

This especially hurts Johnson, who might be gutted after this week’s performance as last week he was a proud father waiting for her daughter’s singles debut. But the results indicate a different story on social media.

“Not main roster qualified” Fans taunt Dwayne Johnson after Raine’s lackluster display

After making her debut in NXT last year, the 22-year-old hasn’t propelled herself to greater heights yet. Being a fourth-generational talent, the WWE universe chastised her on Instagram.

The brutal digs went from her in-ring capabilities to her talent in general. Some fans didn’t even think she qualified as being main roster worthy.

“Nxt have hired wannabes I can’t watch that shit anymore”

“Ava still needs work on her in ring skills”

“I’m sorry, but not main roster qualified”

Even Johnson received flak, so much so that fans took digs at their acting capabilities.

“Rocks daughter no talent no power just theater maybe she is good at it🤗”

“Now Ava could’ve lifted her small self up and powerbombed her 😒 she’s the Rock’s daughter.”

One fan expressed his concerns about Raine not showing improvements after honing her craft for a long time.

“Ava is too big to be used as that big of a loser. I would have thought after all this time she would be better by now too”

While it’s safe to say, she has more critics than favorites. But being a generational superstar, it’s in her blood to overcome obstacles and hopefully, she’ll display her talents moving forward.
