It’s been around 3 weeks and the WWE universe is still in shock over Jey Uso not just leaving SmackDown, but leaving the WWE altogether. They have officially moved Jey to the Alumni Section on the WWE website, along with his father Rikishi Fatu.

‘The Wiseman’ Paul Heyman, whom most think was very instrumental in breaking up The Bloodline cleared the air and blamed Jey entirely for his decision to quit.

Paul Heyman has known the Anoa’i wrestling family for over 35 years now. He has known them since the late 80s when he was managing The Samoan Swat Team which comprised Rikishi and Jacob Fatu.

On last night’s WWE’s The Bump, Heyman narrated how he met The Usos in 1989. Their father Rikishi had brought them back to a wrestling show back to them. He said that before the show; the kids were doing top rope splashes on each other in the ring. Thus praising them and the Anoa’i family as wrestling naturals.

When asked about Jey leaving WWE, Heyman said he will miss The Usos. He said, “Jey is the right hand man and Jey is an extraordinary talent and he is half of the greatest tag team of all time. And I will miss The Usos together and Jey deprived us of that. That’s not on The Wiseman, that’s not even on Jimmy, that’s not on the Tribal Chief, that’s on Jey. That was Jey’s decision. Jey decided to quit The Bloodline, Jey decided to quit SmackDown, Jey decided to quit the WWE”.

He even took a dig at Dominik Mysterio, who was sitting there calling Rey a “deadbeat father”. Paul Heyman was actually there to celebrate ‘The Tribal Chief’s’ 3-year anniversary of winning the Universal championship.

But how exactly did The Tribal Chief’s reign of dominance start?

Let’s go back to where it all started in the year 2020. Roman Reigns had taken a hiatus from the WWE citing safety concerns due to the pandemic. But 6 months later he made his return to WWE SummerSlam where he attacked both Braun Strowman and the late Bray Wyatt post their title match.

Then at Payback when Wyatt and Strowman were having another title match, Reigns signed the contract on the spot and got himself involved in the match with the help of Paul Heyman, thus making it a Triple-Threat match.
