Neither John Cena nor Hulk Hogan, Dwayne Johnson’s $225M Worth Hollywood Rival Gave Him ‘the Most Exhausting Fight’ of His Life

Dwayne Johnson recently made his return to the $7 billion worth Fast & Furious franchise in Fast X. However, long before that Johnson and Vin Diesel were involved in a long and heated rivalry against each other, leading to The Rock’s hiatus from the movie franchise.

The Rock first made his debut in the franchise back in 2011 in Fast Five and was immediately involved in an intense fight sequence with Diesel. In a video doing rounds on the web, Johnson and Diesel claimed how that fight between them was extremely toll-taking. Despite being a former professional wrestler, and having shared the ring with the likes of Hulk Hogan and John Cena, this was a much different and exhausting experience for ‘The Brahma Bull’

What did Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel claim about their fight in Fast Five in 2011?

In Fast Five, Johnson joined the franchise as Luke Hobbs opposite Diesel’s Dom Torretto. However, as the series progressed, they would come on the same page. In their first film, both were involved in a pretty intense fight sequence, beating the lives out of each other.

Speaking about their shooting, and behind the scenes, Johnson and Diesel both claimed how physically exhausting their fight was. Johnson said, “It’s not too often in decades that you could get two men who are pretty good at what they do when it comes to action at this level of their careers and bring them together in this way. Now the challenges? Now we gotta deliver. So the process is gotta be meticulous. We gotta make sure we get it right.”

Vin Diesel further commented, “ I remember Dwayne Johnson who has had a professional career in wrestling, at the end of the week saying, that this was the most exhausting fight he’s ever been a part of. And with guys like Dwayne and I, that are gonna slave and work five days in a row on this scene unrelenting sweat-drenched It was emotionally exhausting. It was physically taxing.”

It was neither John Cena nor Hulk Hogan that was able to give him such a tough fight as his former Hollywood rival, Vin Diesel. Not only did $225 million actor give Johnson a physically exhausting fight, it was emotionally exhausting as well.

Can WWE fans witness Dwayne Johnson and John Cena together on the big-screen ever?

Both John Cena and Dwayne Johnson have launched themselves into Hollywood and are some of the biggest names in the industry. However, despite both hailing from the same background, they are yet to share the big screen together.

While fans expected them to come together in the DCEU, Johnson’s future as Black Adam might prevent that. Post which, they expected the two to share the space in Fast & Furious, but John Cena’s character Jakob Torretto’s presumed death might again stop that from happening.

Both these stalwarts have long careers ahead of them, and fans can probably witness them at some point together on the big screen.
