Necessary Leg Surgery Denies 66-Year-Old Star His First Public Appearance in 6 Years as a WWE Hall of Famer Fills the Void

Injuries are often one of the cruelest things a WWE star can undergo. A former WWE superstar recently missed his first public appearance in around six years due to an injury.

Claude Giroux aka Dink the Clown was forced to cancel his public appearance after he had to undergo leg surgery. Although, the void which he left was fulfilled by a WWE Hall of Famer.

Which WWE Hall of Famer filled the void left by Claude Giroux?

Claude Giroux is a well-known personality in wrestling and has made several appearances during his career. And, currently aged 66, Giroux is way past his prime.

Mainly active from the 1970s to 2007, Giroux made a name for himself as one of the small men in the industry. Known for his alliance with Doink the Clown, Giroux was slated to appear for the Gathering IV promoted by TMart Promotions in Charlotte, NC. alongside Ray Apollo aka Doink the Clown.

The 66-year-old last appeared as Dink for Game Changer Wrestling’s Joey Janela’s Spring Break event back in 2017. It was recently announced by TMart, that Giroux had to miss out on the event, and instead will be covered by  WWE Hall of Famers The Rock N’ Roll Express.

The Rock N’ Roll Express is one of the most popular tag teams in the wrestling industry, and is mostly known for their work in the NWA and WCW.

When did Dink the Clown make his debut for WWE?

Claude Giroux aka Dink the Clown has been active in the wrestling circuit for a long period of time. However, he only reached his full potential when he joined WWE in the early 90s.

Soon, he was paired with Doink the Clown as his sidekick. Apart from being paired with Doink, Giroux also was known as the Macho Midget, due to his impression of Macho Man Randy Savage. After he left WWE, he joined WCW for a brief stint and came to be known as Tiger Jackson.

Giroux had to miss out on his first public appearance in several years, and this setback would’ve hurt him. However, we hope he recovers soon and is seen more in the public.
