Throwback to May 2021, just a few days before WrestleMania Backlash, FOX aired a special version of WWE SmackDown. Cesaro and Seth Rollins‘ return from WrestleMania was the main event of the show. Roman Reigns showed up on the show as planned and talked about defeating Daniel Bryan. 

Another loss to The Tribal Chief in the Universal Championship match was the end of The Yes Man’s time on SmackDown. Let’s explore what exactly took place and why it’s relevant now.

Throwback to when Roman Reigns gave Jimmy Uso a choice on WWE SmackDown

 Seth Rollins was not happy with The Usos because they cost him his match against Cesaro on SmackDown WWE. He went up to Roman Reigns behind the scenes and made threats against him. It was Rollins’ job to take better care of his family before he did it himself. Reigns accepted that he knew his cousins screwed you.

Jimmy Uso subsequently assured The Tribal Chief that this wouldn’t happen to him like it did to his brother. At the last moment of the night, Roman Reigns came to the ring with a tough choice. He told Jimmy to either get in line or go home. Jimmy had a hard time making a choice. He wasn’t sure if he should stand alone or bow down and unite Reigns and his brother.

Soon, Jimmy would try to change Jey’s mind. It would also cause Reigns a lot of trouble later in the year and even cause him to lose his Universal Championship. A lot has changed since then. Jey has effectively turned face and left The Bloodline, with Rollins also volunteering to help Rhodes against the stable. Right now, The Bloodline is getting prepared for its upcoming bout with Cody Rhodes and his friend. 

Latest update on Cody Rhodes challenging The Rock to a match before WrestleMania

Cody Rhodes is set to give Reigns a main event match at WrestleMania 40. Before this, however, Rhodes has also challenged The Rock despite the fact he is already scheduled to fight Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

On an episode of The Grayson Waller Effect at Elimination Chamber, The American Nightmare told The Great One that they could fight “anytime, anywhere.” As for a fight between Rhodes and The Rock, it will be exciting to see if WWE goes with it. It could happen on the first night of WrestleMania or before the biggest PLE of the year.

The WrestleMania press conference in Las Vegas and broadcast arrangement suggest a tag team bout between Rhodes and Seth Rollins, who was on the Grayson Waller Effect, and The Rock and Reigns, which may or may not happen.
