Throughout their months-long feud, Cody Rhodes was rag-dolled by Brock Lesnar a number of times. The conflict went on for a number of months and had a total of three official in-ring matches. Excluding the off-ring assaults by his opponent that Rhodes had to endure, the in-ring experience wasn’t safe either. In fact, Rhodes had a tough time dealing with his antics the last time they faced off.

In a recent interview, The American Nightmare revealed that Lesnar used his body like a ‘potato sack’ during SummerSlam. It wasn’t a pleasant experience for the wrestler and he had to apply a unique strategy to get over it.

This year’s Royal Rumble winner knew what he was getting himself into when he started feuding with The Beast. However, Rhodes did not have prior experience with how badly he would be treated inside the ring once he entered the ring with Lesnar. Talking in a recent interview, Rhodes answered several questions, but when the interviewer arrived at the brutal SummerSlam match, he couldn’t help but recall the problems it had caused him.

Cody Rhodes began by saying, “He just picked me up and what we would call ‘potato sack’ me. That’s scary when you’re up there and you don’t know where you’re gonna land.” Then, Rhodes also revealed that somebody once asked him about how long he takes to recover from all the brutality that Lesnar puts him under.

Rhodes replied in the interview, “Used to take no time. You could get up the next day and do it again. The day after SummerSlam, I was on my bus. I slept 11 hours like I was in an ‘Odin sleep’. I was locked away in this deep black — like just locked away to recover. Just because my body was ravaged but that was a great SummerSlam.

Good for the 38-year-old, he wouldn’t have to face Lesnar as the latter already passed the torch to the former. However, it was a sad moment for Brock’s fans as they thought he is leaving WWE. However, insider reports suggest otherwise.
