The wrestling superstar Lynch has been quite open about her pregnancy journey and the joys of motherhood. Lynch recently shared her thoughts on the lesser-discussed topic of weaning depression during her interview.

Becky Lynch reveals how a fellow mother supported her during her depression

Postpartum depression happens to many mothers. It can lead to various physical, mental, and hormonal changes. Highlighting the matter, Lynch shared she was facing depression post her delivery. She revealed that she found solace in the support of a fellow mother who supported her during the phase.

Lynch recently spoke to Corey Graves on WWE After the Bell podcast and shared her thoughts. She said, “It kind of got really, really dark for a few months and I was in a really bad spot.” in quotes obtained byPeople.

She added, “It was kind of one of those things where you’re trying to pull yourself out of it, because you know mentally, ‘God, I’ve got a great life. I’ve got a great husband. I’ve got a great baby, and I’m doing this thing at the highest level that I love.’ But no reasoning with yourself was able to overcome that level of depression.

Lynch did not reveal the name of the fellow mother, but she shared, “Thankfully, somebody that we all know — I won’t put her on the spot — she told me what was happening because it had happened to her.”

The WWE superstar highlighted the importance of open dialogue surrounding maternal mental health issues.

In the past couple of years, Many WWE superstars have openly addressed the issues of mental health they were dealing with and the importance of mental health awareness. One of the champions of mental health awareness is Dwayne Johnson.

The Rock shares his struggles with depression

Dwayne Johnson has never shied away from speaking about both negative and positive elements of his life. The Black Adam star opened up about his battle with depression and encouraged other men to be vocal about their mental health issues. He emphasized on the importance and believes it is necessary to give equal importance to mental health just as much as people focus on physical health.

In an interview on the podcast “The Pivot”, Johnson said his struggles with his mental health began years ago. He further said that he didn’t have the words to describe how he was feeling.

Johnson first experienced his depression after college, when his football career ended, and, later, after his divorce from his first wife, Dany Garcia, in 2008. Johnson revealed that with the help of his friends, he could recognize his depression and take steps to return to a positive state of mind.

Many celebrities, like Dwayne Johnson and Becky Lynch, are active members of mental health awareness. Over the course of time, many celebrities have addressed depression in the sports industry and come forward to support other players.
