After completing high school, Lesnar would begin his college at Bismark State College, and later go on to graduate from The University of Minnesota. Speaking in a very old interview with pro wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer, Lesnar revealed how his parents had the same basic aspiration as him, which parents all over the world have for their children.

The 45-year-old Lesnar revealed in the interview that while still having a year left in school, he would come in contact with Gerald Brisco and Jim Ross, who were willing to offer him a contract in pro wrestling. However, he would choose his education over a career in pro wrestling at that point in time.

He said, ” I was approached in January 1999 by Gerald Brisco and also Jim Ross and they supported me. They would be contacting me in the near future and you know that, I had another year left.”

However, Lesnar further revealed that his parents wanted him to finish his college degree and have proper qualification, which he eventually did.

He stated, ” I was just weighing my options, and waiting to finish school, so I had something to fall back on, you know. My parents always said that I need to finish my college degree, which I did.”
