The 42-year-old actor who has consistently thrown shade at Johnson during the past few years, has come under the radar for his harsh opinions.
While it’s one thing for critics to call out Hollywood, it’s totally another for its own stars to be calling out their industry. However, he sees it as him voicing his support to the writers and fellow actors.
At the Chicago Fan Expo, the Shazam actor said he feels the content that comes out of Hollywood is “garbage”. Speaking further, he also said Hollywood doesn’t care to make it great for their audiences either and needs to make good movies.

While the statement is certainly bold, it didn’t convince people since his last release, Shazam! Fury of the Gods tanked miserably at the box office with a shockingly low critics score. While the actor tried to defend the movie, claiming that the audience score was high, it doesn’t corroborate his preceding statements. Nevertheless, this isn’t the first time he’s attacked somebody.
Levi’s repeated jibes at Dwayne Johnson
The actor has had a bone to pick with Johnson, who worked in another failure for DCU, Black Adam. It started back in 2014 when The Rock was offered to be a part of Shazam. However, he wanted Shazam and Black Adam to be separate films.
While both Black Adam and Shazam 2 failed miserably at the box office, Levi bashed The Rock for his unprofessionalism. Furthermore, he and slammed the WWE legend for considering himself to be ‘the most important person in the room’. Levi also targeted Johnson, indirectly claiming how Johnson tried making Black Adam the centerpiece in DCUE.

Things reached the ceiling when Levi wanted to punch the Rock in their showdown in the movie, Shazam vs Black Adam, which never materialised.
While neither Shazam 3 nor Black Adam 2 looks likely in the near future, fans will have to play the waiting game for the ultimate face-off between the two actors.
