The energizing sport of wrestling is going around for ages now. And a well-known dynasty whose members have actively been pro wrestlers for decades is the Anoaʻi family. Some popular members of the family are undoubtedly Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa, amongst several others. However, there could have been one more addition to this list, but WWE reportedly rejected one of its members.

It’s no secret that over many decades, the Anoaʻi family has provided wrestling with several dominating and charismatic wrestlers. Be it the Hall of Fame legends, Rikishi and Yokozuna, or the current headliners of the company, they have etched their names in wrestling folklore and WWE history. The family has many such wrestlers, one of them recently tried to make his way to WWE. However, the WWE Performance Center rejected his entry.

Speaking to Busted Open Radio, MLW CEO Court Bauer highlighted one shocking news about two of the company’s top stars, Alex Hammerstone and Jacob Fatu. It was related to the stars’ rejection from WWE despite their massive talent.

He said, “Hammerstone went for a few tryouts and was told, ‘You look too much like Triple H.’ The same with Fatu — people forget he had like three or four tryouts at WWE PC. They didn’t sign him.”

Yes, you read it right. The sports entertainment giant didn’t welcome the cornerstones of MLW. Their massive achievements over the years appear to not be enough for WWE. And despite coming from a family of wrestlers and being a perfect fit for the Stamford-based promotion, they did not sign Fatu. A few days back, the superstar even teased his potential move to WWE and The Bloodline.

Nevertheless, Bauer also disclosed details about former MLW World Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu’s time with their promotion.

Jacob Fatu is reportedly enjoying his time at MLW

In the podcast, we heard the CEO of MLW proudly admitting that his company has not only accepted Fatu but supported him as well.

He said, “He has all the love for his family [The Bloodline] and what they’re doing there [in WWE], but he’s enjoying his time in MLW. If you’re finding him on MLW, support the company that gave him that spotlight. Don’t try to fancy book something, when the machine there [in WWE] didn’t get it, didn’t see it,” Court Bauer added.

Jacob Fatu joined Major League Wrestling in 2019 and has been dominating the promotion ever since. And looking at the confidence with which Bauer has spoken, it seems that the superstar must be enjoying his time there. That is why he keeps re-upping with them.

However, now it remains to be seen if WWE has made a correct decision by rejecting him or if they will regret this later.
