Things are not looking great for the United States Champion of WWE. Rey Mysterio can’t seem to catch a break from rivalries as of late. With few hours remaining till SmackDown, another enemy lurks backstage, waiting to strike at the champion at the right moment. This rival is none other than Logan Paul. But it appears that he may have a solid backup with him.

Mysterio’s large arsenal of wrestling rivals puts Paul on the edge. This means that the YouTuber probably won’t be alone when he returns to WWE to challenge the Mexican wrestler for his championship title. Let’s find out who might be willing to help Paul beat up the LWO leader.

Logan Paul could spruce SmackDown appearance with interesting and imposing company

Paul has so far proven his worth as a new heel in the main roster of WWE. Despite being a part-timer, the social media personality has risen up to feud against a number of top stars in the promotion. A few days ago, Paul started up a dispute by openly calling out Mysterio, eyeing his United States Championship. Things escalated, resulting in the ‘luchador’ calling the YouTuber to meet him on SmackDown. Since he hasn’t yet appeared, we expect tonight to be the show where Paul comes to accept the challenge, but he likely won’t be alone.

Rey Mysterio and his team were last engaged with Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits. LWO even wrestled against Lashley and The Street Profits in a six-person tag at Fastlane, ultimately losing by pinfall. Now, Paul could appear to challenge Mysterio alongside the three rivals to try to intimidate him.

A reason other than intimidation could be much more practical. If the heel wrestler shows up to challenge Mysterio alone, he could get badly beaten up by the LWO. So, to keep them at bay, he may partner up with their recent rivals.

This can also result in a possible battle between the two groups, ultimately leading up to the Crown Jewel title match.

Since the callouts, the two stars haven’t been sitting idle, waiting for the match to happen. On the contrary, they are taking shots at each other on whatever occasions they get.

Ever since the first callout, Paul has been behind the Hall of Famer with his trash-talk game. Since the WWE legend isn’t much of a talker, he remained silent for the most part, until recently. In an exclusive short interview with TMZ Sports, the wrestling superstar mentioned his ongoing dispute with the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

While talking about him, he mentioned that he is looking forward to defending his title against the young talent. The reason behind Mysterio’s thought process is that he wants to shut up his opponent for good.
