1. Deuce: Ricker started his wrestling career with Heartland Wrestling Association where he wrestled as Deuce. He won the HWA TV Championship on November 9th of 2004 and dropped it on 4th January, 2005. He also went by the name Dick Rick for a period of time in the promotion and fought many world championship matches under the moniker.

2. Slate Randall: Ricker joined NWA in 2010 under the ring name Slate Randall where he enjoyed a considerable amount of success by becoming NWA Heritage Tag Team Champion. He even feuded against RAW GM Adam Pearce for the NWA World title. In 2013, Ricker carried this moniker into WWE when he joined the developmental brand NXT.

3. Eli Drake: After leaving WWE, Ricker came back to the Indie circuit he started sampling different ring names. Hilariously, at Pro Wrestling Revolution, he wrestled as El Hijo de Trump and wrestled many top Mexican stars. But it was Impact where he found the now iconic name, Eli Drake. The new ring name can be considered as his most successful in the indies so far as he soon became the World Champion of Impact Wrestling and the catchphrase “E-Li-Drake-Yeah!” was born.

4. LA Knight: When Ricker joined WWE, again, he changed his ring name again and adopted the now-popular persona of LA Knight modifying the catchphrase to “L-A-Knight-Yeah!”. However, his journey as LA Knight is a two-part story.

At NXT, he gained immense popularity with the character but had to abandon it when he transitioned to the main roster. In a baffling creative decision, LA Knight became the on-screen manager of Mace and Mansoor who were repackaged as the Maximum Male Models.

5. Max Dupri: Ricker made his main roster debut as the self-proclaimed Emperor of Aesthetics, Max Dupri. The gimmick was presented in a dark segment before the April 15 (2022) episode of SmackDown where Ricker appeared as a heel manager of the group of himself, Mace and Mansoor.

Maxxine Dupri was the latest addition till the Ricker reverted to his previous persona, LA Knight. Shortly after, Knights natural charisma as a performer began to catch on in his feud with the late great Bray Wyatt. Before you know it, arenas across the world were dying to chant: “L-A-Knight-Yeah!”. His merch numbers went through the roof and WWE capitalised on the Yeah Movement to put in a main event program with undisputed champion, Roman Reigns.
