Ever since Cody Rhodes lost to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, fans have been expecting him to have his ‘full circle’ moment where he defeats the latter. So far, fans have been patiently waiting for the same. However, ever since Reigns started feuding with LA Knight starting at the SmackDown Premiere, things started looking fishy. Now, fans are worried whether Knight will pin down Reigns before Rhodes.

Amidst these discussions, LA Knight has finally spoken his heart out. In a recent interview, he took a dig at The American Nightmare’s ongoing feud. Ahead of the upcoming PLE, his words hold a special meaning.

The overlapping storylines have placed the megastar in an indirect competition against Cody Rhodes. Since both are babyfaces in the company, they cannot settle the differences between them through a match currently, as both of them are booked against heels. But Knight still has a few words for his fellow wrestler.

In an interview with DailyMail UK, Knight shed some light on the ongoing indirect competition between him and Rhodes. Although he didn’t name the former AEW star, his words cleanly sent the message.

The decorated SmackDown star started off by saying, “Man, you know what, I’m not gonna ask you to believe that it’s gonna be different. Now. What I’m going to do is I’m going to say Hey, show up and see why it’s different.” He then proceeded to add, “I said this the other night, I’m looking — I’m not looking to finish a story. I’m not looking to finish anything. I’m looking to start something new. And that’s what we’re going to do.” While he is distancing himself from the unwanted competition, Knight could also be subtly referencing Rhodes’ famous catchphrase ‘finish the story’.

Meanwhile, it could also be a subtle foreshadowing of his potential victory at Crown Jewel. After the 40-year-old himself has possibly teased his victory, let’s take a quick look at whether he would be able to pin down The Tribal Chief at Crown Jewel or not.

What are the chances of LA Knight’s victory?

There have been several tries this year to defeat the Samoan wrestler, but he still remains undefeated. However, Roman Reigns’ 1100+ days as the Undisputed Universal Champion might be coming to an end. This is because LA Knight’s resilience seems unmatched.

Even when we had earlier compared his chances to that of Cody Rhodes, we realized that Knight’s chances might be higher. This is because he is currently the ‘hot’ thing in WWE. So, the promotion might try to capitalize on this moment before it’s too late. Even if it affects Rhodes’ story in some ways.
