Kurt Angle Reveals the Real Masterminds Behind His Awkward Moment With Booker T’s Wife During Their On-Screen Feud: “We Both Felt So Uncomfortable”

WWE Universe knows of Kurt Angle as one of the G.O.A.Ts of the business. He has been a part of some great storylines during his active days of wrestling. And with that, he also contributed to the promotion’s popularity. But that doesn’t summarise his run in WWE. It also includes an uncomfortable storyline from 2005 involving Booker T and his wife. 

Avid wrestling fans would certainly remember this storyline that WWE came up with, which showed Angle in a much different light. It started with Angle’s feud with Booker T, with each costing the other a shot at the WWE Championship during a four-way contest. However, it soon turned into a cringe storyline about which the legends don’t talk often.

Kurt Angle didn’t talk with Booker T about their uncomfortable storyline

Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic gold medalist was asked a difficult question. It was about who came up with the idea of calling Queen Sharmell, “gutter sl*t” during a backstage interview. And in immediate response to it, Angle revealed that it wasn’t him, “that was all the writers.”

Following this, the host asked the legend more about his encounters with Booker T after what he did with the latter’s wife as a part of the storyline. The 

To this, Angle said a surprising thing that no one would have expected. He stated, “We never talked about it.” This feels more shocking given that there have been uncountable encounters between Angle and King Booker over the years. But still, they never had a conversation on this topic.

Even, the Wrestling Machine thought, “We should have been like, hey man that was some crazy s**t, I can’t believe we did it.” But somehow both of them ended up with no words on it. 

That being said, we shouldn’t forget what the storyline included. In it, Angle announced having “beastiality sex” with King Booker’s wife Sharmell. Unfortunately, this is just the tip of the iceberg. The storyline continued to be more obscene with Angle harassing Sharmell in every possible way. Once he even abandoned his match with Booker T to charge into Sharmell’s room and close the door on WWE cameras.

From this, it would be clear how embarrassing it must have been for all the superstars involved in the storyline. That is why, Angle concluded his remarks on the matter by saying, “We both felt so uncomfortable.”
