Among a bunch of such instances, some became so phenomenal that they continued to be a part of the discussion even after years. The unexpected in-ring smooch between The Undertaker and Olympic hero Kurt Angle formed one of such incredible moments in the world of professional wrestling.
Throughout his long career, The Deadman has been hardly seen breaking his on-screen dead serious persona except for one case when he really came close to this, and that too because of his old friend and rival, Kurt Angle. Taker was so furious that he was even about to choke him out in sleep but decided to leave at last. Maybe it’s because he didn’t hate the gesture totally or something else that we’re not sure of.

The two Attitude Era gems have been involved in a lot of interesting storylines and some highly competitive matches during their heyday in the company. Their on-screen chemistry was largely popular among fans. However, Angle once dared to play a fooling game around Taker to distract him from his character. The 54-year-old purposely stole a lip kiss from the deadman following their match in Japan.
The legend recalled that funniest yet risky move during the latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show. The former superstar noted, ”’ I had a great moment. It was a very intimate moment. It was in Japan and uh I put my hand out to shake Undertaker’s hand on here we go put his hand out I shook his hand I said how about a hug and he pulls in for a hug and I grab, kiss him right on the lips…. That is my favorite thing I did.”
However, The Undertaker almost killed him for this later during their flight journey together. ”He wanted to kill me. You know what, later on that night we were on the plane… He came over and put his nose this far away from my nose while I am sleeping and I woke up and he goes I just want to tell you I could get you at any time.’‘, Angle continued explaining the aftermath.

The Indestructible Force left Angle without doing any harm at the end and it says he took that kiss sportingly to some extent. ”I think I’m not saying that he enjoyed the kiss, but I think he was laughing. Yeah, that’s cool.”, the former Olympic hero concluded.
That was really cool, but the enviable in-ring chemistry between Taker and Angle was even cooler.

The duo never left the ring without putting on fantastic matches. Fans love to see them together, both as mates and rivals. One of the best matches of them took place in the Ruthless Aggression era at No Way Out in 2006, which was won by Angle.

After an excellent spell in the Olympics in 1996, Angle debuted in the professional wrestling world. He instantly earned a high place in the roster, receiving an early push as a main event star. Eventually, he started to appear against Kurt Angle more often than not and it proved to be a huge success for them both.
The former six times World Champion once weighed in on his highly talked about chemistry with Taker. The legend believes that he and Taker didn’t even need any gimmick to make their matches more intriguing. They themselves were so good together that their matches used to steal the show, even without anything else. He also stated that he would even like to wrestle Taker in the graveyard if he needed to.
