The season premiere of Monday Night RAW featured a riveting opening segment as former stablemates Sami Zayn and Jey Uso made an appearance. The segment at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma comes on the heels of Kevin Owens’ trade to SmackDown.

Not surprisingly, this left Owens’ tag team partner- Zayn- furious. The Canadian superstar chose to vent his frustration on the recent episode of RAW and rant at his former The Bloodline stablemate.

What did Sami Zayn say?

The 39-year-old appeared confident of Owens’ good performance on SmackDown and even predicted the same. But then he tore into the former Undisputed Tag Team Champion as the reason why Zayn is alone.

“Kevin is not here anymore and that’s because of you,” Zayn told Jey Uso as a tension brewed between the two. However, Zayn was also seen running backstage and sorting things out with the junior Uso twin.

Jey Uso also gave Zayn a hug before blurting his customary “yeet”. Zayn and Jey uso got along well during their time in The Bloodline. The junior Uso twin also showed his support towards the Canadian even while risking his own ties with his family.

Though Zayn left Bloodline members disappointed with a brutal chairshot to Roman Reigns earlier this year, it didn’t take Jey Uso too long to follow suit. Currently, The Bloodline is trying to resurrect itself through the remaining members- Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, Solo Sikoa and a fringe Jimmy Uso.

Meanwhile, Sami Zayn’s efforts went in vain during the season premiere of RAW.

Jey Uso, Cody Rhodes lose tag team gold

Uso and Rhodes were booked to defend their Undisputed Tag Team Championship against former champions Finn Balor and Damian Priest during the main event on October 16’s RAW. All four superstars traded blows and were evenly poised until Dominik Mysterio’s appearance tilted the balance in his stable’s favor.

To counter it, Sami Zayn took out Mysterio, but the former was overpowered by Priest, thus stemming the threat to their chances. It was, however, Jimmy Uso, who landed the last blow as he hit his younger twin with a superkick.

Taking advantage of it, Balor pinned Jey Uso to regain their lost championship. The result has now left the door of possibilities wide open and fans would eagerly wait for the upcoming episode of RAW to find out where this takes the story.
