Kevin Hart Found Himself in Deep Waters After Calling Out Dwayne Johnson for Donating $25,000 to the Red Cross in 2017

Not friendships are as good as they sound. Despite sharing one of the closest bonds and friendships in all of Hollywood, comedian slash actor Kevin Hart found himself in deep waters, after calling out Dwayne Johnson, and other celebrities after the 2017 Hurricane Harvey tragedy.

The 2017 Hurricane Harvey caused a major lot of damage, and several well-to-do people had come together to raise funds for the affected. While Hart insisted on other celebrities donating at least $25,000, he himself donated $50,000. Hart called out many celebrities by name and received a response from The Rock.

Dwayne Johnson responded to Kevin Hart and threw shade at him

Recently, after Johnson’s tequila business started generating massive profits, his best friend Kevin Hart came forward with his own tequila business. Sharing one of the closest friendships, things did escalate once between the two stars.

In 2017, after Hart had called out other celebrities for not donating to the cause of helping those affected by the hurricane, Johnson sent a response his way. Dwayne Johnson would release a video, and reveal his donation, while also providing a helpline for the general public to send in their donations and throwing shade at his Jumanji co-star for his call-out.

Johnson said, ” Kevin Hart you issued the Hurricane Harvey challenge. I appreciate you brother. I donated my $25,000 to the Red Cross. I’m not gonna call out my celebrity friends. You guys already know what to do in terms of donating money.”

The Brahma Bull of WWE claimed that he would not call out other celebrities for donating money, since they know their role. Johnson made sure to take the name of Hart and put him in deep waters for blaming other celebrities for not doing what he did.

The duo of The Rock and Hart have maintained a solid friendship over the years and the fans love to their pairing whether on-screen or off it. But his was a rare instance of them perhaps not seeing eye-to-eye. Meanwhile, Hart recently dipped his toes in a business which is dominated by The Rock.

Kevin Hart enters friendly territory with his own tequila business

Around a few months ago, Hart sat with Logan Paul on his podcast and revealed the motivation behind starting his own tequila business. Known to be best friends with Dwayne Johnson, Hart entered a friendly territory with his own tequila brand.

When asked by Paul about entering an area where his friend already dominated, Hart gave a logical response. He said, ” “when you think about the world of alcohol, how big is the world? How far is the outreach for alcohol in success? Right you are talking about billions of people and you feel like you can create a product that will get the return and engage in because of the quality and taste. “

He also claimed that his brand ‘Gran Coramino’ is different from ‘Teremana Tequila’. While Johnson’s Teremana serves a regular sect of consumers, ‘Gran Coramino’ is much more premium. It is now to be seen Hart’s brand performs against Johnson’s brand, and how competitive the two will get about their brands.
