Dwayne Johnson has made an ‘electrifying’ return to the ring of WWE. Fans were not able to contain their excitement as they were not expecting him to show up. In the ring, he was seen with Pat McAfee. However, before they both crashed the event, Johnson was present at The Pat McAfee Show. During the conversation, he had dropped a valuable piece of information. This seems to have infuriated his former stablemate.

An old friend and stablemate of Dwayne Johnson, when Johnson revealed the original plan for WrestleMania 39, his former stablemate asked him to keep things to himself.

Just a few hours before the event, The Brahma Bull was in conversation with McAfee on his show. There, he revealed that the original plan for Wrestlemania 39 was entirely different from what actually happened. He stated that originally he was supposed to go against his cousin, Roman Reigns. But as the idea did not materialize, Cody Rhodes went against him.

Mark Henry was not pleased with the way the news was presented. On the latest episode of the Busted Open podcast, he said, “I disagree with the fact that he was disrespectful. But I do agree that it was a little selfish. Like, sometimes you got to keep some stuff to yourself.” implying that Johnson came out as a bit selfish and it was better if he did not talk about this bit at all.

The reason he said this is the fact that Rhodes is on his way to becoming the face of pro wrestling. And Johnson’s words make it feel as if it was all an accident. He said, “Cody is on the trajectory of being the face of pro-wrestling, and that basically said that it fell through.”. He also said that Rhodes got that opportunity because WWE had thought about The Rock vs. Roman Reigns thoroughly and it was not a mere chance. He concluded by saying, “Whatever happened, it fell through. So that was a contingency plan,” implying that it was a normal thing to happen.

Mark Henry has been with the industry for a long time. As he is working as a talent scout with AEW, his words hold importance as he can see that The American Nightmare is on his way to making a name for himself. However, now that The Rock is back, what could this mean for Rhodes?

Rhodes’ road to the Championship title

Fans are eagerly awaiting WrestleMania XL. The reason is they will get to witness the long-awaited The American Nightmare vs. The Tribal Chief face-off. The feud which started earlier this year has led many fans to believe that Rhodes is the right contender for the title. However, with The Rock’s return, many fans want to see both the cousins face off with The Rock taking over the title of The Tribal Chief. Since his run with WWE, The Rock has won somewhere around 10 Championship titles. A prominent heel back then, he went on to become the face of WWE.

Compared to The People’s Champion, Rhodes had won two Intercontinental Championship Titles and six World Tag Team Championship titles. However, Rhodes has faced his fair share of struggles. Just like Johnson, he comes from a family of pro wrestlers. His father and his half-brother made a pretty big name for themselves in the industry before him. The 38-year-old star tried to follow in his brother Goldust’s footsteps. He tried to reinvent himself under the name Stardust. But he had admitted that this gimmick took a toll on his mental health and made him realize that he wanted to be known as Cody Rhodes.

Both stars would be perfect contenders for Roman Reigns. On one hand, Johnson vs. Reigns revolves more around The Bloodline. On the other hand, Rhodes vs. Reigns revolves around the underdog trying to prove himself.
