AEW’s upcoming schedule is flooded with rumors of new appearances. There are a few superstars reported to mark their debut in Tony Khan’s promotion and Kazuchika Okada is one of them. The Japanese wrestler has gained the most popularity working at NJPW, but his contract with the promotion ended back in January 2024, leaving him open to sign with whichever company he pleases.

This is where the rumors of his AEW debut came in. Recently, Lance Archer not only talked about the rumors but also teased a possible future match with his former rival if he ever debuts in Tony Khan’s promotion.

Several reports and rumors point out that Okada is eventually coming to AEW. The wrestler’s contract with NJPW ended in January, making him free for an appearance ever since. February has gone by without much action and fans look forward to seeing him in AEW in March. To top it all off, Lance also spoke about it.

In an online interview with The Wrestling Classic, Lance Archer sat down and talked about various topics. The wrestler also shed light on the ongoing rumors about Okada’s AEW debut and said, “I mean, if he shows up in AEW, The Rainmaker knows what he gets into when he steps in the ring with me.

Since the two have already wrestled against each other in the past, there were moments when Archer was left wanting more. Talking about his 2020 moments with his former rival, Archer said, “I got to work with Okada, with an opportunity to move on in the tournament, but he bested me. But the match itself was one of my most memorable matches.

Now that he could be signing with Tony Khan, we might see a revival of this past rivalry for starters before Okada can be pushed into a deeper storyline.
